In Canada living off one income and living a comfortable life sounds nuts. When places start at $1000 for a 1 bedroom and have all these requirements and then there’s food. Damn my goal is to get my own apartment its just so difficult
@JakeRoy9818 күн бұрын
For me it was both. Quitting my low paying job of operating heavy equipment for $17 an hour and being unemployed for a while really taught me how much money I was actually wasting on stupid stuff. I think it's more so in America than other countries. I love living a more simple life.

I think it's both. But I do agree that too many people spend their money like crazy and never live within their means
@RussDubya19 күн бұрын
Yeah, like who doesn’t want a higher income I understand we all want more money, in the video I was basically trying to talk to people who are living paycheck to paycheck but there also spending money on like subscriptions they don’t use or spending on things they don’t realize they’re spending on that could help them elsewhere. Thanks for watching!

No problem! I used to live paycheck to paycheck. I had to work a crazy amount of hours for the Holidays to get out of it and just eat ramen or sandwiches but I got out of paycheck to paycheck with Rent being a grand. I'm never going back to that lifestyle. It can be done but you gotta sacrifice a lot@@RussDubya

isn't this all just relative to the individual? You can't just act as if everyone has had the same life as you. You're lucky to be able to sit in a place of judgement. Not all are born as lucky.
@RussDubya19 күн бұрын
Everyone has different experiences and I came from no electricity or food in my home living on food stamps and alcoholic parents. You seem to have a victim mindset despite everyone’s personal experiences you can’t argue that if your spending more than your making on things you don’t need then you have a spending problem. If you want a lambo you need to make more money, but if you want AirPods and can’t afford them bc you’re blowing money on bottles at the club you have a spending problem.

I agree with pretty much everything you said. But There is another side to it. I am a person who enjoys nice things, but also lives below my means. And I aim to grow my income to have nicer things. If you have a spending problem, then you have a spending problem. But if you want something that you can’t afford, then you have an income problem. I say this because the same way that people can always want more, people can always spend less all the way until near zero. Someone will always be richer than you and someone will always be more frugal than you. Even instant coffee is bougie to some people
@RussDubya20 күн бұрын
Well said, if you want something and your income can’t afford it then you need a higher income. In this video I’m more or less addressing people who are making decent money but yet they spend crazily on things that make them live paycheck to paycheck. If the things you want cause you to then be strapped for cash and waiting for another paycheck to hit then you have a spending problem :)

More important to save in Bitcoin IMO since the $ is guaranteed to lose purchasing power each year. This is assuming you have no plans to touch the Bitcoin for at least 4-5 years, since, whilst it will go up, it will go up with volatility. I would suggest listening to podcasts by Michael Saylor to better understand what sound money is.
@bangkokbert344025 күн бұрын
Dollar-cost average in monthly regardless of price and stay humble. Hold your own keys. Don't worry about the $ value. Bitcoin is thermodynamically sound money. Keep studying Bitcoin whilst accumulating it.

Iam from different region, so to acomplish something in US numbers are more difficult but not impossimble, i saved my 10k in my 23 yo and it was relief, on the end you just pilling up and realizing you dont need to spend more money for things you dont need, that was my realization. I started investing, everything going fine just a little patience.

It's totally normal to feel all of that in your 20s which you would never think you would feel since you are in your prime and have your whole future ahead of you. Which is actually one of the reasons you can feel lost. I am not really big on society's fault since I refuse to be blamed for people's actions and bad choices just as I don't expect them ever to be blamed for mine. Accountability is something humans if given a choice would always be something we would never accept.
