Great video Emma showing how to collect the wax 💕👍 I have some beeswax here that I hope to be using this winter to make some lotions. There are supposed to be many health benefits to eating the honeycomb and this is a product that is sold by others.

Thank you Emma for this example of extracting honey. Many make this seem so difficult but you show us that it is very easy for most to do. Wonderful video and I loved how excited the children were 💕I would love to be able to have honey bee's. Maybe someday God willing.

I prune all the lowest leaves and suckers below the first flower And I continue to prune when they outgrow the trellis I am growing them with I mostly grow indeterminate cherry tomatoes With my dwarf tomatoes, I remove the bottom leaves as well and some leaves that’s crowding the fruits Thank you for a very detailed explanation what to prune

@AlmostaGreenAcre-zs5eu3 ай бұрын
Good morning Emma. Great information to know about tomato's. I prune similar to you in that all the lower branches that are damaged or touching the ground. Really helps with the air flow. I will only pinch suckers or prune branches above the fruit or flowers if they rub on each other or they are causing some other issue. I will also cut the top of of the main stem when I feel the height of the indeterminate tomatoes are getting higher than I can comfortably manage because this will stop the upward growth. I agree with you that you get more fruit if you let the plant grow naturally 🙂Thanks for sharing 🥰

The reason why we generally say you should get rid of them is actually because they rarely produce fruits on these branches. They can become very large leaves and will create sometimes a new head on the plant if it's close enough to the top. It also makes aeration worse by cluttering the space, which can lead to rotting fruits on the plant. This part I think is slightly over exaggerated because the only time it was a problem was when we never cut any branches during a very wet summer. But it does make for better looking fruits usually!

Depends on environment. In the north outside dont prune higher suckers since we dont gave as long a growing season.

Do you use a cheese cloth?
@rupperthomesteadjournal3 ай бұрын
I used Flour Sack Towels as cheese cloths. Walmart sells a pack of 5 for about $5. You definitely can use cheesecloth, but I recommend using the ones with higher grades since they have a higher thread count, making them thicker and more durable.

@@rupperthomesteadjournal My grandparents used to garden onions but not me personally. I'm into the chives that come back year after year. I've always just bought onions as they are usually affordable and save the space for other veg. I may put some in next year once my beds are more established here. They are known to be a great pest deterrent 🙂
