you talk about propaganda yet you're blind to the fact that the Germans often faked their high kill counts for propaganda purposes.. For instance, German tankers would often attribute all the tank kills of the whole unit to just the commander and also falsely calling other soft vehicle kills tank kills. Ever wonder how Wittmann got hundreds of kills? He didn't!

Wrong no Fw190's were in the Battle of Britain, a year away from it's service debut August 1941. The bombers were Heinkel He-111 not 193's. Also the Battle of Britain RAF Hurricane and Spitfire were the main fighters (more Hurricanes that Spitfires) , (a few Gladiators, Defiant's and Blenheim's were at hand) The German fighters were Me109(bf109) and Me110 twin engine fighter) Bombers were He111 P/H, Do17z, Ju88A, Ju87B Stuka. In all, the RAF lost 1,547 airplanes(some sources say 1,744) -1,023 from Fighter Command, 376 from Bomber Command, and 148 from Coastal Command. RAF Bomber Command and Coastal command are most often forgotten during this period but they played a vital role. German losses were even higher-a total of 1,887, (some sources say 1,977) of which 650 were Bf 109s and 223 were Bf 110s. More than half of the German aircraft destroyed were shot down by Hurricanes. Aircraft losses for RAF and Luftwaffe totals include such varied types for example the He-59, Whitley etc.( seaplanes and bombers.) So you can see aircraft losses were close, the main serious loss for the Luftwaffe was crewman particularly from the bombers. As the battle wore on and change of strategy targets for the Luftwaffe change a vital mistake IE. from airfields to London, etc.example the Luftwaffe had little chance to achieve it's goal of air superiority . Also British replacements of aircraft and production was better at the time than the Germans. It wasn't just British pilots, Commonwealth, Poles etc. pilots but also don't forget the anti aircraft gunners doing their bit as well as the civilians population loss. The task for the Luftwaffe was air superiority something which is extremely hard to achieve considering it was a tactical air arm given all factors.
