Hi, nice video I'am starting to organize my japan trip and I would like to visit Okinawa and do some snorkelling What months or season would you recommend me? Greetings
@Daleh14 күн бұрын
Hello! That's great to hear. Okinawa's weather is great for snorkeling year round. If you're afraid of colder water, May - Sep would be best. But since the snorkeling tours always offer thick wetsuit, all months are okay for snorkeling!
@Daleh14 күн бұрын
If you're snorkeling by yourself, definitely recommend a wet suit in the winter and rash guard/long sleeve in the shoulder months for a better snorkeling experience!

as someone who cant see without my glasses am I still able to snorkel? Great vid btw!
@Daleh20 күн бұрын
Hello! I have glasses as well but I definitely recommend getting either a prescription goggle ($80-90). Or wear contact lenses in your goggle to snorkel (do be careful to not let your contact touch salt water if you go this route, and change contacts every 3-4 hours). Otherwise some snorkel stores might have prescription goggles available for rental but recommend you to call ahead to figure out. You wouldn't want to miss out the scenery underwater!
@jonasyuejun227619 күн бұрын

What snorkeling company did you book with for this full day snorkeling tour? Did they offer any advice regarding Box Jellyfish? I will be there in June and I'm afraid of getting stung.
@Daleh28 күн бұрын
Hello, i booked with Marine Club Berry, they did not offer any specific advice but we were dressed from neck to toe with a wetsuit, so bites are highly unlikely.

Hi Dale, thank you for the Vlog... Can I ask you the snorkelling company you went with ... thanks in advance, Steven (New Zealand, heading to Palau in January 2025)
@Daleh2 ай бұрын
Of course, Jan is a perfect time to visit. I used LongRainBow company in Palau ([email protected]) and booked through Klook. They are mainly Mandarin-speaking based with some limited English. You should be able to find similar snorkel trips on Klook/TripAdviser/Viator etc. Or alternatively you can use your hotel to book these tours! Hotels on Koror Palau can typically help guests book tours. Do make sure the trip is from Koror, Palau as there are similar names around the world. Would definitely recommend doing both the Western and Eastern snorkel lines. Have fun and enjoy the amazing islands!

Hi, I’m planning my trip to Lombok in November. Which snorkeling company did you use? I will be staying at Senggigi as well and looking at snorkelling on the south west ‘secret gilis’ and the eastern ‘hidden gilis’. Thanks a lot in advance!
@Daleh2 ай бұрын
Hello! I used Klook. Search up "Gili Kondo Snorkeling" and " Gili Petelu Snorkeling" on Klook and you should be able to find them! The hotels you're staying at can also help you book the tours as well if they offer such services Couple of notes: - It is 3-4 hours one way 7-8 hours round trip by car so it will be tiring for sure - The tours include transportation from Sengigi - Remember to bring reef-safe sunscreen and respect the marine lives!

What happened to the jellyfish population?? So, you can’t swim among a swarm of them anymore???
@Daleh2 ай бұрын
The jellyfish population was wiped out due to global warming unfortunately. You can still swim in the lake and as of this year there are a couple of them still surviving. Typically it takes 5 years for the population to rebound if the temperature does not continue to rise.
@jojijoji88Ай бұрын
@@Daleh Only “a couple” left??? I hope they are being watched and taken care of in a controlled environment… I do hope you mean like a couple of hundred left… But still so sad…

Remember to always wear REEF-SAFE mineral based sunscreen and never touch or leave anything under water. Lombok's snorkel sites are pristine and truly world class; you don't get this anywhere else in the world!!
