Love it!!! just a tip when the project is close to the table just roll it up so you don't get dropped stitches and it helps with the tension.

I have never once used waste yarn to cast on or cast off by "mistake" I always use waste yarn to cast on and cast off on purpose because for me it makes a neater edge

@AlinaHeraDesignsАй бұрын
I measured the hat. Unstarched, the circumference of the hat is 13 inches, starched is 16 inches. If you want a smaller size, use a smaller crochet hook (3 or 3.5 mm), if you want a bigger size, use 5 or 5.5 mm crochet hook.

I just got my machine this morning, and was able to follow this along and ended up with a beautiful little hat, but unfortunately I had dropped some stitches in the pattern section, and I'm not advanced enough to know how to fix it. Luckily I have a skilled granny, and the option to just rip this out and start over.

the needle method looks much better, thank you. not sure if not having the yarn fully in the guide,was intentional, to demo probblems but there is a round hole in the guide after the flat area in the guide keep yarn through that it helps. i foud using yarn, wound at home with a yarn winder for a center pull ,gave better results.

Can u pre string the beads before u start with that machine
@AlinaHeraDesignsАй бұрын
I didn't try, but I think that is possible; however in that case you have to hold the yarn and keep the tension by the hand. You will not be able to be place in the yarn in the yarn holder.

I'm not sure is the hat will fit a newborn if you just make it with 22 needles as I think it would be too small in circumference. Maybe for a premature baby; however, if you do try it I would like to know if it fits a newborn. Thank you for watching!

Could you please tell me what to do. I forgot to use waste yarn at the beginning. I cast off and began to pull then I went to the bottom and it was all unravelling so I tried to pull from the top or bottom and it all knotted up in big loops. I wasted all my yarn. What do I do in the future, how do you unravel the yarn so it's not wasted?
@AlinaHeraDesignsАй бұрын
You can unravel the yarn from the cast off. That is the easiest way. If you want to unravel from the cast on, then you have to pull off the yarn that goes through the loops first. It's like removing the waste yarn from the cast on like in this video at minute 3:59 kzbin.info/www/bejne/oHisYoOph5Kao8Usi=QrTGrqRLz2V9c5gr

Interesting! I'll give it a try! Curious how different the outcome will be compared to the "normal" cinching closed the two ends and securing. Is it a time saver?
@AlinaHeraDesignsАй бұрын
It's not a time saver; however, the closing is flat and not bulking on top of the head. That way the hat will fit better on the head.
@bimalbajracharya76174 ай бұрын

What is the yellow thing hooked to the inside of yr machine.
@MC-kj8uy3 ай бұрын
It's for counting the rows. This machine didn't come with a row counter so she's added a digital counter. The yellow is one part; it sends a signal to the white part every time the machine goes around and the number changes. I bought one on Amazon several years ago for a different machine. I couldn't figure it how to attach it but it's working fine on this machine. It's a lot more reliable than counting the rows manually.
