may I ask....... when I load a track on my rx3 it starts the tune from the active loop and not from the start of the track....... how can you turn it off may I ask??? merry christmas

I have NEVER used a device that is so intuitive! The first time I sat down to use it I had a track in 30 minutes. The UI is so well thought out and amazing, and I enjoy not looking at screens when I’m coming up with ideas.

Thank you Richie for introducing me to the world of Ableton, as I got my start via an online class on (Udemy) by you. The course was titled: (Making DJ Edits, Mashups & Remixes in Ableton) and your style of teaching, turned the complex into a fun experience for a novice like myself. Great to see you back on scene👍; looking forward to learning new tips & tricks as you grow your studio✌

Hi , i would like to know if i could move a hotcue without erasing it? just draging from one point of the waveform to other, thanks
@paQ75Ай бұрын
If it had small screens under each encoder I would have bought it. My biggest problem is that it doesn't quite measure up as an Ableton MIDI controller, so I'll have to wait and see if the Novation people come up with something more advanced.
@DirtySecretzАй бұрын
I kinda wanted a Push 3 without the pads - more of like a display/mixery type thing but I can’t imagine anyone but me looking for that lol. I think one of the Native Instrument keyboard had OLED screens above each fader at one point, that’s kinda what I was hoping for.
@paQ75Ай бұрын
@@DirtySecretz I guess you know MP Midi Controller www.youtube.com/@mpmidi/videos , that controller turns everything you can imagine into a tactile experience. In my case I like the idea of using pads to trigger notes and chords, plus the integration of a sequencer. That's what Push offers, the problem is that is HUGE and I'm convinced that they can do something similar but at a much smaller size, like with this Move, pity that its MIDI controller aspect hasn't been taken care of enough. Cheers!

Interesting to hear about your connection issues witt Live. Can't remember ever having had such problems. Perhaps you want to reach out to Ableton and check if you have a faulty device?
@DirtySecretzАй бұрын
Yeah I’ve googled loads but not heard many other stories of it but it’s hard for me to replicate on demand because there’s no pattern - sometimes does it, sometimes not. Very weird!
@damelos4039Ай бұрын
Thanks for the "realistic" review. Not every device has to do to EVERYTHING. It is advertised as a sketch pad and that's what it is. You want full blown, get a PUSH. The price is right, the integration is tight. It's FUN to use. Use the damn thing or don't but stop the whining! LOL It doesn't make you a sandwich or fetch the morning paper.....so does that mean it sucks?

Why not just use Ableton? Everyone is straining to justify buying this. “I don’t want to buy an Apple device to use an 8 dollar app, so I’ll pay 450 instead.”

This is amazing man-probably the dream studio for every starting producer!!! :) I’d love to ask: how did you deal with the acoustics? Did you build it yourself? Is this a small building on your property or something? Also, a budget breakdown of everything would be incredible. Bunch of cool ideas for the next video haha, keep crushing it, my man!
@DirtySecretzАй бұрын
The room was previously a garage and the previous owner had already well insulated the roof and part of the walls. The acoustic panels are actually the panels he previously had up that I recanvased. The only real sound treatment I did was to put down a carpet with a thick underlay - as soon as I'd done that I noticed the room was pretty dead sounding so I didn't have to do much more. I don't really know all that much about acoustics and coming from a tiny bedroom studio that was no where near perfect, I just learnt my environment. So really this space is miles better than I had, still probably not perfect but I've found it works great for me. The monitors have been corrected with Sonarworks SoundID so I know I'm getting a flat response from them. I haven't actually added up how much I've spent, most of it was purely aesthetics but I'll see about doing that in a future video :)

Nice space. I'm not sure how a UAD is an upgrade on RME though. Might be an upgrade on a 15 year old RME, but surely not an upgrade on say an RME UFX III. If you needed it because you run UAD plugins, then a UAD Octo satellite with an RME UFX III would have been a sweet combo.
@DirtySecretzАй бұрын
I was considering upgrading to a new RME but honestly I wanted to build a studio that was as industry standard as I could get it, so over the course of 2 years doing sessions in various studios in the UK I took notes as to the equipment that was most commonly used. I didn't see an RME in any of the studios I used and most common was either the UA Apollos, Scarlett or the Neumann MT 48 (I was close to getting the later). I did this so that when I did have to go from my studio to another, the setup would be near identical and I could just get going. Also if anyone was using my studio they'd be used to using any of the gear I had in there. Having to install different software for all different interfaces is a real pain, with each doing it very differently so it was just a case of seeing what interfaces came up the most and which felt more conformable to use. I loved my RME and Totalmix but I do have to say the UA console is great and being able to use effects with 0 latency on the mic strip is brilliant and won me round.

Can you explain how the stream deck is controlling the volume?
@DirtySecretzАй бұрын
It’s using an app called UA Midi Control and the midi extension in stream deck. You basically add a midi control to the stream deck, head over to the UA Midi Control app and assign that midi control to a function in the UA console. I’ll do a full video on it soon :)

Okay Buy everything from audiomodern or Or Buy this package The intention being to speed up rhythmic ideas and arranging a song. I am happy with music theory, been playing piano since the 1970s, but interested in stuff like coming up with rhythms for chords and leads and drums.... And also tools to speed up arranging songs in Ableton, I tend to use session view first. Then arrange afterwards

I've seen worse mancaves :). My Move arrived this morning and I absolutely love it! I love to go out making music wherever I feel inspired (preferably on a bench overseeing the Amsterdam canals) and so far, my MPC Live 2 (with a Magma Ctrl case that doubles as a sunscreen) has done an excellent job at that. But I was looking for a more portable standalone experience when going on longer trips. And the Move looks perfect for this as its instant sync with Ableton Live really solves the "And now what?" question you often have with these smaller grooveboxes.
