🌹A spotless Rose is blowing Sprung from a tender root Of ancient seers' foreshowing Of Jesse promis'd fruit; Its fairest bud unfolds to light Amid the cold, cold winter And in the dark midnight The Rose which I am singing Whereof Isaiah said Is from its sweet root springing In Mary, purest Maid; For through our God's great love and might The Blessed Babe she bare us In a cold, cold winter's night

I just listened to one rendition of this that sounded like they had a bus to catch. This is far too slow.

I ask permission to read these words at every marriage I attend. The poem was written by a nomadic Afghan known as Rumi. He lived between 1207 and 1273. So powerful and moving.

That's stunning. It's my favorite track on your "Haven" album, but I really enjoy this video, too, to see how you sing it. Bravo!

Congratulations for your performance! Such great voices full of emotion! I love your voices😘. I wrote several songs. Please take 2 minutes to listen to the ones entitled « This song I’m singing for you » and « I like the way you talk to me ». Maybe you could sing them if you like them

I hope they see this, but I was ine of the kids that got to see them preform homeward bound. Apollo 5 actually worked with us on singing homeward bound. My choir teacher is Dr. Allen Denny. They are such a good group. Insanely underrated

It doesn’t even seem like people could make this music with voices alone. This is how we connected to god. We once used our voices as a community to make music and sing songs.

Have listened to this and the MacMillan 'O Radiant Dawn' so often the last couple of Advent and Christmas seasons. Have refrained from commenting as I hardly know what to say. The sound you produce together is sublime, and I can't thank you all enough, really.

sounds like this- S: A B E - B - B A: E F# B A E D E T: C D - - C - G# Bar: E F# G - F# - B Bass: A - - - - A - E each character is a crotchet, dashes indicate pitch is held, and the antepenultimate note is the syllable change so i wrote the note again even if its still sustained. i’m pretty confident they have a 6th note overlaid, because i am hearing a C between the soprano E and the alto suspension, but also very clearly the low voices singing D, G, and A. maybe i am wrong!
