The point of converting to a digital file is to store the digital files on a hard drive, on your computer hard drive also updating and backing up the information so that if a hard drive breaks then you still have your data stored somewhere else. Once we convert the video tapes onto a USB stick or hard it is imperative that you make more copies of the digital files and also store them in different locations. Also updating your storage devices every 4 to 7 years.

If you can bring in customers consistently, have the correct equipment and provide an excellent service with minimal overheads it is a good business. But there are a lot of other business you will be competing against. Best to start with minimal overheads. Build an excellent website and gather some equipment that convert the tapes to digital at highest quality. Maybe trial and error at first but eventually you may get there.

Sorry we don’t share complete pull parts and put back together tutorials. Best to send damaged lenses to an authorised Sony repair centre. These lenses aren’t to complicated to pull apart if your experience with lens repairs, but once you get into the internals of the barrels the focus alignment can be altered. Also sometimes the screws that hold the barrels together are glue locked super tight and you want to avoid damaging the head of the screw making it sometimes impossible to take out.

parts available from Sony for camera repair centres. For public try eBay or AliExpress. I would highly suggest sending your camera to a recruitable Sony Service Center. This is not a camera I would advise pulling apart if you have had no experience pulling Sony Mirrorless camera apart. Could create some major issues.

It is an internal clock battery. The camera would have to be pulled apart to find it. I would highly suggest that the video camera be taken to someone that is a Sony professional repair to get it changed.

im running into an issue with one of my sony lenses. every so often the lens will fail to communicate with my camera, I've tried cleaning the gold connectors but it still happens time to time but always ends up fixing itself after a bit. how would you suggest I diagnose it? i don't want to buy new parts just incase its something deeper

Inbetween the lens barrels, also can come through the battery compartment, SD card socket, USB ports. Anywhere there is a tiny gap

I would not recommend trying to do this repair, send it to a camera repair expert. I have had customers come in after they tried to repair and ended up costing them more money than it would have cost if they sent it in for repair.
