I dig the swirling organ. Canadian pop tune with a touch of bubblegum.

Folksy. It jangles like a Byrds" song. The vocals sound like a British Invasion band, I can't put my finger on it. Smooth vocals and harmonies. Such a pleasant garage tune. Ty, MG Do you know where they were from?

This is a hell of rare single....both tracks are great. If this is the only work these guys have done, then they've left a good legacy. Not much info about this band.

Jack Cassidy's bass is way more upfront in the mono mix compared to the stereo mix. I think "Martha" is the most different out of any of the songs on this album. Radically different in mono. Which is what I grew up with. Even some of Marty Balin's harmonies, Grace's recorder and Jorma's brief electric bits after the intro are missing here from the stereo mix. I loved the end of Martha when Paul sings "Under warm running shower..." there's a significant amount of reverb after that line that the stereo hasn't that always caught my ear as a kid. As if she (Martha) was slowly rising from the ground. The things you hear and envision as a kid... Apparently written about the San Francisco Mayor's daughter back in the day. Thanks for posting this different angle of this iconic, quirky album.

You should hear Martha in quadraphonic, as well as today and Lather. Their entire Volunteers album was also mixed for discrete 4 channel quad surround

Thank you. Never heard this version before! Love it! Also, I hate the audio industry introduce gaps of silence between cuts. It destroys the music, the art. Not that the industry part cares a twit about that.

Fantastic indeed because this is what good 👍 music 🎼 is about. This is my portal to the past especially what I haven’t heard yet. Very wonderfully done ✅. Great that there’s a 🪈 flute in there like if was having a musical battle with the fuzzed guitar 🎸. Very great work on how everything is put together.
