I usually pair polyphony with the ending of “The Pretender” where they take two parts of the melody and it fits perfectly

I commented this on another video (I'll try anything once}. Do you find it hard to replicate the down in "sit me down" when singing it? Is this a skill issue for me, or is this just Julian magic? The closest I've ever heard on any cover to replicating it is you, which is unsurprising, you're extremely talented! Most covers round it out, and i can't seem to hit it!

Hey my friend! I responded to your other comment already but I'll respond here as well :) Yeah it's definitely a very difficult performance to replicate, there is absolutely some Julian magic, i find he is very underrated as a vocalist in regards to his precision of tone. It's in a tricky part of most people's range, plus it is not nearly as distorted as people think, there's just a TOUCH of natural vocal distortion at the onset of the note. Balancing on the edge of clean and distorted like that is way more difficult than being all the way clean or all the way distorted. It's doable with lots of deliberate practice and technique tho

What are the chances that this goes on my Spotify playlist? By far my favorite cover, i come back to it monthly! Secondly, this and I'll try are amazing songs. When i try to sing it, do you similarly find the"sit me down," "down," hard to replicate?

Yes, i put this up on all platforms so you can add it on Spotify :) while you're there check out my latest original song "and that was that", it's a love letter to room on fire! Yeah i definitely do find the "down" hard to replicate on ITAO and YOLO, that's why i opt to find my own way about it haha cuz if i try to do it just like JC I'll probably not do it justice! Would love to hear your take on it someday if you'd be willing to share :)
