would you choose the n100 or n97? becoase i got confused, some people says that n97 is better for graphics but use more power, and n100 use much less power, what should i use?? (for more graphic intense)?
@Lemerex9 күн бұрын
N97 will give you higher clock speeds so for graphics, that one would be better. Both are considered still entry level though. As far as power. N97 uses 6W, N100 uses 5W. Not a huge difference. Clock speed is 1.2ghz on n97 vs 750mhz on N100

@Lemerex2 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, you cannot. If you split up the frequencies, it can only work off of one node. If you want to use a mesh system, it has to be a unified SSID. I had an issue with my garage door opener which only works off of 2.4ghz. So I ended up just getting a cheap secondary router just running a 2.4ghz frequency.

how are the fans for noise level? I have the h5 Elite and the fans are insanely loud that came with it, also on the NZXT AIO 240 I have, they're the same kind but 120's instead of the 140's in the front. I've thought about just ditching the rgb and going for some other fans purely to reduce noise level. Also 3/4 of the rgb on one the 140 front fans died within like 2 weeks of owning this case lol.
@Lemerex7 ай бұрын
I personally never liked nzxt fans..its a night and day difference if you go with the be quiet fans. I usually prefer the 140’s in the front and a 140 in the back if possible. But the h5 just has a 120 in the back, which is fine. I tried all kinds of fans from corsair, to thermaltake, to the nzxt. Bequiet just seems to have their stuff down. Very similar to the noctua fans, just not as pricy.

what wifi card / chip is installed on it?
@Lemerex7 ай бұрын
CPU is an Intel 12th gen N100. Wi-Fi card is an Intel ax101
@bestonyoutube7 ай бұрын
@@Lemerex thanks. isnt the Intel ax101 really bad, I just looked into it and it just seems to have one antenna and no 2x2 support. how reliable is the Intel ax101 latency wise? also how is the fan is it annoying? does the audio jacket support mic in with an adapter? could you in theory just disconnect the fan? it seems to have a passive cooling plate which mostly will be enough.
@Lemerex7 ай бұрын
I mean for what I use it for, the latency isn't as big of a deal due to just being used at the when I am working on projects. The fan does rattle a bit while it is running. I have a new video coming up in a couple of days that will show the fan a bit more audible. The headphone jack on the back is just designed for speakers, no mic input. I haven't ran it without the fan, so I don't know how passive cooling will be done. The plate is a bit on the thin side. Even just at idle, it sits around 35C-38C. As far as the fan noise, its not too bad once you get used to it. It basically just sounds like a laptop fan just running at like 70%.
@bestonyoutube7 ай бұрын
@@Lemerex I was about to buy the box actually but that sounds concerning. Rattling fan is nothing I would like to have. I was hoping maybe you could distach the fan cable and just keep it passive cooled. Also that the headphone jack is not dual both audio out/in is another set back. Most laptops with a single audio jacket have dual mic in audio out jacket.
@Lemerex7 ай бұрын
@bestonyoutube no worries…if you want, the rattling isnt really bad…just a bit audible. It doesnt really bother me and you dont hear the rattle when the pc is assembled…the fan can be detached, but the heatsink isnt as thick to be considered for passive cooling…as far as the mic issue, yeah its a bummer, might want to try a usb mic perhaps?

@Lemerex8 ай бұрын
Still working on it. Been crazy busy. But I did a bit more digging, its because the fan doesn’t have a proprietary pulse notification to the switch motherboard. So motherboard doesn’t think the fan is spinning even though its working fine…but once I have some time to sit and play around with it, ill upload a followup video.

Thanks also for the disassembly. I've already replaced another old PC with a Blackview mini PC with Intel N97 and DDR5 and that little box was fast (even more after replacing Win11 with Win10, in the 2D benchmarks I got a ~30% improvements). Now I need this model because the office has a basic monitor with only one VGA port, and this Herobox seems to be the best mini PC with a VGA port.
