The background music sucked and was unnecessary, other than that great video. 👍😊

Did this back in the '80's at 28k cfs. Never forget it. Started the two week trip thinking my roll was bombproof. It wasn't. Swam two or three times, lost my confidence. Spent a rest day practicing, changed my attitude from one of avoidance to embracing the challenge. Rest of the trip went ok. Swam Hance, portaged Crystal (all of us did except for the one most experienced paddler). Got to Lava, don't know what was shaking more, my knees or the ground underneath me as we scouted the drop. Asked the experienced guy to lead me through. Followed his line. Stayed river left of the huge hole in the center, paddling as hard as I could, but still feeling the boat being sucked backward into the hole. The line threaded through the big one and a smaller hole just to my left. Kept on digging, finally pulled through. Sweet moments in the eddy below, laughing, splashing, drunk on the euphoria. Basically the end of my kayaking career. Got home and sold my boat in a yard sale.

No need to sell your boat. There's great stuff out there that doesn't require quite so much.

Lava falls... that one is by far the most fun & the big one. Challenging as heck to go down. I rafted it in 2017. 😊

that boil, bouncing off the rock above the first drop, river right, does some very strange things.

Great edit. I love the variety of camera shots, narration, action, scenery, etc. And I know how hard it is to add music that fits the mode and pace of the video. Very well done! And I appreciate that you included the water flow. I am preparing for my first Grand trip this summer, and that is really helpful.

SOOOOOO loved THIS video over ALL others. VERY well-done and VERY similar to my 2016 21-day, 225-mile trip including the screw-ups at Crystal, where we had two guys bounce out of each of their boats (boats remained upright, and one guy flipped, and boat flipped and ended up EXACTLY where your flip had to be righted. What a blast I've had today, finishing up an open house at an "unoccupied but staged" listing on Nantucket Island....and I'm actually STAYING in this amazing house for past 3 nights. So screwing-off watching vids like this is a BLAST! 10EatFireSpringRoadNantucket.com is the property, BTW.

that was awesome with the voice over of the boaters describing their run. Simple but really well done. Great editing.
