There are a lot of shade loving plants that would thrive in your yard. There are even varieties of tomatoes and peppers that are more shade tolerant

We have also used the ceramic Cilio for years, but we used the #2 size (with #4 filter). The handle broke recently, so we ordered the #4 replacement, but it's too heavy for my wife's arthritis (we are 70+). We returned it for the #2 size. We also have the plastic Melitta single cup brewer that is designed for the #2 filter, but also can use the #4 size. I bought it at our local grocery store for $3.95. (shoponline.melitta.com/products/1-cup-pour-over-coffee-brew-cone-red) It comes in black or red. It doesn't suffer from the tilt and drip problem.

I agree, I have the black plastic Melitta cone (with #4 filter) and have used it for many years without having the leaking or drip issues. I haven't tried the others.

I have the metal cone, Big fan of this one. I use regular V60 filters for the metal cone and the Kalita filters for my flat bottom cones.

Nice video ...is that a #2 or #4 Cilio dripper and which is a better choice ?
@itellsri4 жыл бұрын
rangebound Thanks for confirming ....I just got the new ceramic “signature dripper “ from Melitta ....it’s exactly the same style like yours but in ceramic....It’s very well made and looks really stylish , but the coffee it makes is not hot enough ....For some reason the quality of ceramic used just sucks all the heat and also the “ window “ design to look level of coffee in the cup lets out of lot of heat. Do you have this issue in your Cilio .? Do you preheat your ceramic dripper and is it made in a Germany or China ?
@itellsri4 жыл бұрын
rangebound thanks for responding ...I just placed an order for the cilio based on your suggestion. Will let you know soon on how it turns out. Btw all these ceramic drippers are not made equal ...The ribs , the size, quality of ceramic , number of holes used all decide the quality of the brew...I feel metal is best both in thermal edge and not as fragile as porcelain, but they are not inert as ceramic or glass and can impart some subtle taste to sensitive taste buds. I have multiple stainless brewers and I love them.
@itellsri4 жыл бұрын
rangebound I always pre-measure my water in advance ....so that’s never an issue 😊

Awesome video! I haven't been to Cuyamaca Rancho in a few years (2016), and the recovery past the 2003 Cedar Fire is really kicking in, especially along the Conejos Trail! Looks like they did some controlled burns along Lookout Rd., and maybe there was one going on by Mt. Laguna at the time as I saw a smoke plume to the east on a couple of your shots while climbing Cuyamaca.

@@MattPotter1 Hey Matt, yea the longer format worked for this video as the scenery was beautiful. The TETON cot tent is defiantly one of my favourite camping shelters - it's just so versatile. Thats so awesome you created your own music - that really is a special skill! It was very professionally done! I have so many things I want to make for the Argo - I'll add the coking shelf to the list 😄. Keep up the great work!
