Karl is not far off with his dog rant. Selective breeding could, over time, increase dog intelligence. Consider that we've bred certain breeds for very specific traits. Intelligence is a trait. This is about artificial selection rather than natural. Nature isn't altering the genetic diversity within a breed....we are.
