I've a 2.2 159, with the much maligned selespeed gearbox. Out here in Malaysia (tropics), they suffer from the heat hence I've had issues with the wiring harness, ECU fault (a particular IC likes to burn), and the Selesepeed can be such a pain. BUT, when shes behaving, and shes pushing on the highway on some B road, shes pretty damned amazing. Oh, and I had mine with the Autodelta Supercharger. Makes a heck of a difference!

I've just added this kit to my car and after connecting the door light strips to the door light, they flash red and blue when the door is open on full brightness. Even if I turn the lights off. Can't seem find any settings to change then in the app. Anyone else had this problem?

After 10 years of owning a beautiful old 159 ti Guigiaro, I’ve just had to send it to the big scrapyard in the sky and I’m still going through the five stages of grief. It was like saying goodbye to an old family pet. Drove the nuts off it for ten years and loved every second. Yes, when it needed repairing it was expensive, and yes the bottom end of the gearbox is utter shite. But! BUT! Man it was a wonderful car! To drive, to sit in, to look at. The amount of times it started a conversation with strangers(!). As Top Gear used to say: ‘You can’t be a petrolhead until you’ve owned an Alfa!’.

Great video. Hows the performance of the car been after installing a cone filter? Been thinking of changing mine 👍
@rayskiii25 күн бұрын
Sounds great, but performance, absolutely awful 😂 it’s sucking in too much hot air being in the engine bay so it’s causing problems. If you want a cone filter installed I’d advise you either you install some heat shielding in the engine bay around the air filter or you install it around where the original air filter is located down in the bottom of the bumper to avoid issues 👍

Hi, I have some really dumb questions about as this area is not my skill, but want to learn and try it as I love my 159. So, I've got this light kit too from same link. For the ones who conencted this kit, do I assume that two wires from each ring for the white light (DRL) are connected to the parking light wires and we would remove the bulb altogether? Then for the indicator wires, because all the rings can light up as indicators, you choose whichever or how many you want all three or 2/1, plus remove the bulb. I assume we keep the dipped beam bulb still connected? Are there any electronics to tuen on DLR automatically, or do we just turn on parking lights when needed? Thanks
@rayskiiiАй бұрын
I can't completely recall my exact setup, but i believe it was 1 wire tapped into the indicator wire that connects to the bulb, 1 wire to the DRL bulb light cable and 1 wire for ground. However because the kit has a little control box thingy whatever you want to call it, its the only connection you can make to the wires because the halos all plug into the box with connects, if that makes any sense.

The air filter is in a bad place, and will mess up your engine because the air filter will suck in hot air so you want to put a heat shield on your air filter. That's why the oem filter was below so it wouldn't suck hot air

100% agree. Gonna try to do this soon

@NicB-CreationsАй бұрын
@@rayskiii There will be much more of a "roar" (for lack of a better word 😅) while accelerating with a pod filter than revving while standing still. Noise you migt think now is coming from your exhaust. I remember my Opel (Vauxhall) back in the 90's sounded epic with just a pod filter.
