How is it killed graphically and specifically, the internet fails to reveal kosh method of killing animals.. whereas halal is openly described as to the method of slaughter

How about the pot lid? What is the kashrut state of the small pot? Does the small pot's water need to be boiling when it is dunked in the big pot? The drawback of this methods are that 1/ The flame can go out, causing gas to be dispersed in the kitchen and 2/ If water gets on the lighting element of an electronic ignition flame, it will cause the ignition to start clicking - and that clicking can go on for days or weeks and drive everyone crazy.

Thank you a lot for your lessons! Talking about the hot water sterilizations - adding there some washing liquid to make it "taam pagum" should it solve the problem?

Is Ethiopian “injera” made with teff flour and water kosher for Passover to be used as Matzah, if not, please explain why not?

Would this process of hagalah be necessary on dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and appliances which were purchased brand new strictly for Passover use only?

Another good method is to boil water in a large foil pan and then "roll" the large pot on its side in that

Great shiur but audio is not good. As far as I know, the Rabbonim of E"Y did not know that they were importing Zebu from South America. They initially sent a Shochet to examine the organs of cows in Uruguay and were impressed that very few animals had any sheilos regarding lungs and hearts. They therefore gave the go ahead to import them,. Sometime later a Rav went to South America to talk with the Kashrus workers there and happened to see this South American Cow in the field. Remembering a teshuva he had read when in yeshiva many years before, he suspected this to be a Zebu which he always thought existed in India only. [Source: Rav Yirmiyahu Milevsky, Toronto, Canada]

I have learned that this method is very good for green house grown vegetables only. they are grown in closed controlled area & checked periodically to insure minimal infection. if they are found to be too infected they are not approved for sale. so to clean the little amount of bugs that still there you can clean it this way. the regular open field grown vegetables are very infected & bugs & flies make them selfs tunnels inside the leafs & they stick into the leafs & they won't be removed. remember also that in this method the Rov checked the water & if its clean he assume the leaf is also clean. maybe. maybe not. perhaps the water is clean because the bugs glued themself to the leaf. but in reality the other Rabonim checked the leaves & saw the bugs there after many washes.

So, as an explainer video, it was really difficult to follow because of his flow back and forth from English to Yiddish and Hebrew & his Hebrew pronunciation is really Ashkenazi, which is really disconcerting.. Also, it’s really uncomfortable that he keeps burping and stuff. Just saying…

They don't tell you that this is about money primarily. If the restaurant owner complains that if a mashgiach is too punctilious, then they get a more lax mashgiach.

It is my understanding that a takanah is meant to tackle a particular problem at a particular time or place, not to make a chumrah or change halacha for the wider world for all time. So it seems to me logical to not automatically require people to follow a particular takanah from an earlier time.

Can you kasher the big pot with the same water used to first kasher small utensils by dipping them in that pot, or must the big pot be completely drained and refilled?

Are you mentioning oats and beer as things you can be lenient about based on doubts that have been raised as to whether oats are in fact one of the five species susceptible to chodosh and whether shtiot are susceptible to chodosh at all (given they do not use the whole grain)?

I thought I read that even after pouring boiling water you still needed tinfoil. Boiling water made it kosher but as an added safety tinfoil made it kosher for Passover. I am new to this so whatever you can do provide, thank you

your old rabbis made these crazy rules. Not God. Its not right to make ppl do these horrible rules. Look what happened- your ppl left ur religion, became reform, and most dont practice anything at all..because they are sick and tired of these useless rules. Just eat with hands. You dont need to sterilize forks and spoons.
