Wow, thank you for posting this, it was a pleasure to watch. Your car looks clearly more "on the ground" than Cooper's car. Incredible chase. I imagine the adrenaline of waiting for the right opportunity to overtake and also the guy trying to not loose the race. Well done!

A guy drove in my shop with a hard top. Dude found in the dessert and had it restored added some Miata hard top latches and made it compatible. His red tr6 looks beautiful This one is just as beautiful 💎✨🙏

I owned a 71 TR6 in High School, then a 1970 GT6+ and sold them after I joined the USAF and got married. I will always love these cars. Yours is the coolest TR6 I have ever seen! That British V8 has to be the best motor swap of all time. I would imagine it weighs less than the cast iron block of the 2.5 inline 6. Ever hear of the aftermarket frame company that made a frame called the TR6+6 (as in 6 inches wider frame)? Great job on this TR6...you made me jealous!🤔😎

I purchased in late 71 a new 1972 TR-6. To date, it has been my all time favorite car. Back then, it was only AM radio which was incompatible with the European frequency. So, my Triumph came with no radio. I went to Sears and paid $35 for a nice one installed. My how times change because i drove it off the lot for $3950. At the dealership, it cost $25 for a tuneup. Yhose were the days.😅

Had a trip in a big Healey years ago by a chap who had rebuilt it from LHD from a box of bits. Triple SU's and it was quick. We went to Silverstone in it and passed almost every car we met.

I don't know what the score is, but, C4 Corvettes probably have dominated more races than any other Corvette generation.

Because a heavier engine was installed ...!! I can't see the point for only 2 move cylinders .. when the American straight six was a detuned version of the UK TR6 Engine.

It's not a proper Triumph if all the panels fit and there's no oil leaks which guessing is the case..lovely car.

Congrats on Scoring a Mark 2 Deluxe. The wire wheels on my '62 were always "problematic." ("Lovely to Look At, Dellightful to Hold;" but always in need of some kind of Attention, if I may be So Bold.)

@@geneyus6411 - To quote the likes of Chevy Chase, "Thank you very little." With all due respect to Mr. Baker, he has won but a single National Championship, while Mr. Newman has (4) National Championships to his credit! I've seen a famous racer start dead last in a field of 32, and he still won the race. He likely didn't know more about the track, but he was clearly the best and fastest driver that day. That's why I said no correlation between the two. I should have asked you if you know what the word correlation means. LOL

My first car was an 59 MGA. My second car was a 59 MGA I sold it and bought it back 5 years later. I had it 57 MGA I sold it and bought it back 12 years later? Should have never sold it a second time. There is something very aesthetically appealing about that car. I think it's my favorite simple automobile. Thank you for sharing. yours.
