Angela Basset should have an Oscar just for this. And also for another for her Queens Nat Geo series. She is fantastic, naturally beautiful and real.Her voice is soft and the warmest and the most mesmerizing I've ever heard.

Little mentioned Fact.. The original Top Gun had more real aerial footage than the latest Top Gun Maverick film, way more. Contrary to popular belief and statements made by both studio and actors, Top Gun Maverick is comprised of mostly CGI aerial footage. They used trainer jets as visual reference for the vfx team to replace with digital F-18 doubles. The Su-57 Felon , the F-14 and most shots were either completely CGI or further enhanced with CGI doubles. Did you really think the film studio borrowed Russia's newest stealth fighter for the film? did you think they really bombed an airbase, or flew jets into a mountain? or how about the aerial battles? did you think it was all real shot in camera? come on!!! Top Gun Maverick did utilize some 'real' footage but 9 out of 10 was indeed CGI. Top Gun on the other hand, did use some practical aircraft models, They did had access to shoot one real missile of which they filmed from multiple angles to further extend the use of the shot. Top Gun Maverick did get footage of its acting pilots in the seat, but mostly in those same trainer lever jets. Top Gun did shot in aircraft footage with the actual actors but most of the footage was unusable do to extreme lighting and many other factors. The shots we do see of real pilots are those of the actual pilots wearing their actor counterpart helmets, most of the films actors shots are on a rig set, and their voices though recorded upon takes were completely changed and given new dialogue in the ADR process. in other words since you couldnt see their mouths due to their masks, they could changes the dialogue to anything they wanted after the fact, of which saved the production in editorial. The studios failing with their products had gone as to place the blame for the failure of their films on VFX, the very part of production process that makes most films possible. They want to shift the blame for their bad directing and writing on that which has nothing to do with a films failure or success.

dont listen to anyone that hates on this movie! you will be glued to every scene! love the quirky charm and subtle dark comedy. deffinetly worth the watch bot sure why people dont get it...

I really hope one day we learn the real fate of Lucy Gray............I like to imagine she survived in the woods and managed to live her life somewhat peacefully in the wilds or something.

I see why they cut it. It's a good scene and makes total sense for the storyline, and part of me likes watching Biff suffer. At the same time the extended death sequence gives me some sympathy for Biff and thus sends the feel of the movie to a much darker place. Back to the Future just wasn't that kind of movie. It was the right call to cut this.
