Yeah, I heard there are cheap units there that are kinda worn down. The terms of contract loosely imply that the tenant may modify the room to a certain extent. Once they leave, the owner will put the unit up for a higher price. If that's what's happening here, this one couldn't wait for her to move and forced her out at the first excuse. Or maybe they just can't take all the duck noises all day and night.

That's the thing about rentals - you just can't risk adding anything permanent. The moment the landlord thinks there's a chance to make more money, or to sell at a higher value, especially if they don't have to pay for it themselves - that then can screw the tenant. It sucks, but hopefully this vtuber can find a new place and have a better time there 🙏
