We were there on a Thursday. It wasn’t too bad. The concert filled up but we were up front so we didn’t notice much of that crowd. Over all I think we picked a good time to go. It was a good time.

Wow...I had no idea the sea lions had converged on the beaches so heavily! We've been avoiding car week and hanging out over at Moss Landing this week instead. Crazy! We will have to stop by this week to see them!

We heard today that they closed San Carlos beach by the coast guard area. The sea lions have completely taken I over that beach.

@@mattmellor1762 Thank you! It was crazy seeing all of the seals . They were on both sides of the wharf and down by the Coast Guard breakwater. Hundreds of them.

You really picked the right day to visit the Aquarium! We were there Mother's Day weekend and it was too packed to really film much. Love that you featured the Lab. Many people do overlook it! And, yes, John fictionalized Ed and turned him into "Doc" for the book. Apparently Ed wasn't complimented since everyone thought the fictionalized version was the real Ed. LOL! We do live in such a gorgeous spot, right?! Glad you guys ended up with a Blue Day!

One of my favorite finds was in Kingman Arizona. We went to a Route 66 museum and they had Chapter 12 of The Grapes of Wrath posted on the wall. Was really fun to see. His description of Route 66, “The Mother road,” is spot on.

We haven't been since Parker was little...they've really added and improved quite a lot! The food rides I remembered but I don't remember being able to walk around the fountain and the paddleboats were new to me too!

I was just wondering what month this video was taken? We are visiting in April from the uk and I am wondering what type of clothing to pack.

This video was taken in May of 2023. In this area at any given time a sweater and long pants will be comfortable. A jacket that is easily removed and easy to carry. Typically in the morning it is cold with the fog. The evenings are also cold. Midday it can get warmer, but I am usually in a hoodie or jacket.
