not everyone get joy from getting killed way to much when I beat a boss it was just like oh I beat the boss what ever I was still unhappy because I got killed to much I only have fun when the game is just hard but Elden ring is to hard

I think the soul of cinder is the original character that you play as is the soul of cinder taking gywn throne as the king for 100s of years

Coming back to say that Elden Ring, Armoured core 4 and Dark Souls remastered are all great and this is one of the few game publishers/developers to have actually made what they set on putting out and have succeeded. Still waiting on DS4 and hoping to have a really good ending to satisfy everyone.

As someone who uses a all-around build, I have allowed myself access to all things, not so I can make it 'easier', but so I can enjoy my playthrough and try beating the game with every weapon in subsequent runs. These gatekeepers even try to tell me that I have to have a build centered around one or two stats, and not all 😂

Lmfao bro I just bought this game a month ago and was incredibly lost and overwhelmed, I didn’t even know they had a website where you can buy game accessory and the first thing I bought, the guy dropped it and not only dropped what I bought he also just dumped so many runes and hella op weapons, I was so confused and just wanted a Medallion but I went on and played the game with all the items I was gifted and literally went from being lost and overwhelmed to Erasing and still lost in the game but speed running through every first lvl enemies and boss

Small parts of his story could be grasped the moment you enter the fight for the first time, and I have to say I was extremely depressed when I finally realized "hey, that's probably his baby. Why is dark souls making me kill this? What wrong did he do?"

DS3 is literally the worst fucking game to ever exist.

I am good enough at these games where that are kinda like a normal for me but that is just me though. I know sometimes I will struggle and some may struggle more then me and that is completely fine. I think if some one is willing to try and beat the game and over come the challenge in anyway possible is a wonderful thing. I try to stay humble as much as possible. I didn’t buy someone else’s copy of the game, I have no business telling them how to play it and nor do I care. It is their experience who am I to ruin it for them.

So I assume these Elitist people never use bleed or rot against enemies, because in some cases bleed can be more damaging to bosses than a summon can.

I've been playing Elden Ring nonstop since launch. I quit to play Hogwarts Legacy and Street Fighter 6, but I always come to Elden Ring. I don't even play online, no do co-op or PVP. I just make new builds and challenge runs. Over and over, starting from scratch and working my way up.

Simply cheat then play the game offline afterward. So no one sees what you did and they can't do anything about it because they cannot affect your game when offline. Problem solved.

Here's the thing: I think most of the difficulty comes from the absolute lack of patience New players have. Also, I see a lot of players trusting suspicious messages of "jump here, chest" and just jumping to their deaths or, in other stance, ignoring enviromental clues that things are Gonna get messy. DS is, for me, really, all about focused attention and patience. The "git gud" thing is, in the end, "be patient, be wary, be wise"

adding the fact that every video on this topic resorts to repetitively delving into some sort of philosophical reasoning to my own reasoning that there is something wrong with souls games. these games aren't difficult like Mario lost levels, they are difficult like whack'a'mole where if you miss one you have to walk back to the arcade from the bus stop.

After LEARNING Souls through Elden Ring, which was brutal, and then going back and beating Demon Souls, DS 1-3, and Bloodborne, I can say with no uncertainty that the overtuned difficulty of these games is for the sheer purpose of generating buzz / sales. These games would have been just as fun at a reasonable difficulty. They really are "hard just for the sake of being hard." This isn't going to be a popular take, but I beat all of these games without summons, so I am allowed to have this opinion. I really think the developer did this just to be dicks and generate sales. I stuck with it because I'm getting older and I wanted to prove to myself that I'm still a "real" gamer (because all of the arrogant people who love these games piss me off), but I feel zero satisfaction after accomplishing this. I'm just pissed off at how hard it was. When the developers say they don't make these games "hard for the sake of being hard," my response is that they are lying. It's just a facade to generate controversy and sales. They want a certain percentage of their players to become elitist "gatekeepers" because it makes for an interesting headline, which generates more sales.
