I always love seeing you. And this time you are feeling what I am. I am thinking the same thing about "coloring" book projects. My two ones sort of like that are my Shores at Hawk Run Hollow and I have The Pilgrim by Long Dog going. It gives me a break from the various confetti projects I have going. I like them for different reasons. I also am appreciating the smaller ones I have been doing because I am getting finishes.....so agree with that too. Also finish finishing. I said this year would be the year since I have projects going back forever. At the end of the year last year, I laced and framed something, did two Lizzie Kate standups and some ornaments. Said to myself in January I will tackle my "under the bed" box (though my box is too big for under the bed). I am not proud to say, I did Nothing. I have 3 Halloween pieces sitting on my counter.....it is a little late to finish them now, but I may attempt to finish them and put them away with the rest of the decorations (or not).. I also have a bunch of Christmas I could do. Hopefully the winter will bring some days where I have to stay in and get motivated. I managed to keep stitching during the summer, but I do much better when the weather is colder....Look forward to seeing you soon. One of these days I will get to another retreat and can talk with you again.

Hi Amy! It was so good to see another flosstube from you😊. Congratulations on all of your beautiful finishes! I especially love your Beatrix Potter sampler and Spring Moon. I'm like you when it comes to finishing....I never do it. I've got over 100 things in my box waiting to be FFOed. Luckily, they're mostly smaller pieces. I was so lucky that about a year ago I won something on Helen D's channel where she finished one of my pieces into a flatfold. She did a beautiful job with it. Your biscornu that you finished for her looks fantastic! And, I have to say, I really am giving you lots of extra points for stitching all of that green background on your PUB piece. I'd probably have chosen green fabric instead 😂. Hope all is well. Enjoy working away at those WIP s!

Love your thoughtful biscornu finish for a finisher! I just had to frog a chunk of my Long Dog Pandemic the other day so I feel your pain with Hween Quaker. So annoying but it's easier in the long run for everything to line up.

Hi Amy. Great to see you and your projects again! May I ask where you sourced the Wexford linen? I ask because I struggle on linen due to the unevenness and stick to evenweave but would love to give it a try! Thank you in advance - Marissa
@gablesstitcher33252 ай бұрын
The only place I have found Wexford is when I went to Needleworkers delight in New Jersey. They have since closed their storefront and does shows and events. Unfortunately I haven’t seen it elsewhere, which is too bad because it’s a great fabric and I love it.

Your finishes are AWESOME!! I think you have a GREAT plan to finish those BAPS!! I am in the same predicament! I am using A Recovering Monogamous Sticher's plan...stitch on a focus peace 7 days a month until it is done. So, I will dguide up my charts into pieces and see if I can rack up some finishes. TREE!!! HAPPY STITCHING TODAY AND EVERYDAY IN 2024!!
@gablesstitcher33252 ай бұрын
Thank you Karen! I might need to try recovering monogamous stitchers plan too. I know so many people who have been successful with that plan. The only thing is if I’m not feeling a project on its assigned day to be stitched, I just won’t stitch at all that day 😬. I’m hoping that having a month to do an assigned piece will work for me. I guess time will tell! But yes….lets get some of these BAPS done. That way we can start more BAPS 😉

Good luck with your family, how exciting a senior in high school, I remember my kids at that time❤ also glad you got your father in law close to your family, I know he appreciates it so much!
