This keyboard actually reminded me of the actual purpose of a “keyboard”. For the past couple of years, companies focused too much on rgb, lighting, stuff that don’t even matter in the long run. My lofree flow is my end game.

Modding was always more on the enthusiast side of this hobby and after very short period of getting attention by the general market and ordinary users, its getting back to the enthusiasts. Although i have to admit, even 100$ keyboards are so good nowdays, that most of the time it comes to keycaps and maybe switches. And if you really want somting else, tape mode. Where the days of 4 hours of manual lubing, making my own foams, and switchpads and forcebreak modes and other stuff. I have my Keychron Q3 Knob and Asus Azoth, both modded ofc, but i dont see all that much to mod in newer boards. Back in the day it could greatly change many aspects of a kayboard, today it is much more about very minor changes. Its not needet as it used to be. It reminds me situation with Android. I have always use some XDA ParanoidAndroid, CyanogenMod and many many others ROMs. But today? Its just not needed anymore, Android is mature now.

Thank you for this! I’m about to change a steel plate to an acrylic one. Judging from your video, it doesn’t seem to be as “scary” as the seller said to me 😂 (the plate cracks etc)

I don't think modding is dead. It just back being the thing enthusiast does. While a lot of prebuilt are getting better and better, some people still prefer modding or building one since it's the fun part of the hobby.

Is it confined to the "Apple Ecosystem" (tm) ? Are switches soldered to the board? Can you open it only with a proprietary tool? Can you only buy it from authorized resellers? Is it at least 70% more expensive than similarly spec'd hardware? Does it make sheep drool at the signt of it anyway? Kung "oo" ang sagot sa lahat ng tanong, then I agree that this could have been a mechanical board made by Apple.
