I see a lot of joking, and I'm all for that, but these researchers at this company are AWESOME, and they are saving lives, so let's have some appreciation for them. I have seen very scary aerial views of people wading near the shore and unknowing surrounded by sharks! (ʘ_ʘ) I wouldn't THINK of going in without this kind of protection.

Funny thing is, a 2018 study by Flinders uni, with great whites proved this band to be ineffective. Indeed the only electromagnetic deterant that worked only worked 60% of the time. This "test" isn't, it's hilarious.

How can I check that it works properly? And when it stops working, how can I know without being eaten by a shark? You can test it with mothers-in-law to be sure that "I am protected." Because I have a Dazer for dogs and it is easy to know... if it works. Greetings. GREAT IDEA

"If you suspect anything is wrong" I will probably suspect something might be wrong with my Sharkbanz if I end up losing my arm or leg, but by then its a bit too late. Surely there has to be a way to know that I didn't end up with a faulty product? Sure, I do not know exactly how it works, but there has to be a way to test it?

Looks like you would need one band for each limb, pretty costly. The sharks get really close before turning away.

In a real world testing, the dummy would behave like prey. Splashing, paddling, moving. And thus provoking an attack. The test here involes just some bites, not an fast and ferocious attack on a moving prey. So it proves it prevents test bites, but not attacks.

Is it better to have the pod in the boardshort pocket or on the leash? And what about my garmin surf watch, if i attach the leash to my foot, do i have to take the watch off? Will it damage/demolish my watch?

We designed for both because both are excellent options - your preference. Keeping it on your leash is super easy, and you won't even notice it's there. If you have the POD on your leash (or in your pocket) and your Garmin surf watch on your wrist, then you're all good. Because of the powerful magnetic technology, it's best to keep our products a distance of 24" inches from sensitive electronic equipment - more so for travel and storage, but in this case, you'll be great!
