Being British, I thought to myself that at one time in our history we would have had similar sacred dances and singing. the culture of the peoples of the Arctic Circle from Scandinavia all the way to Canada were not dissimilar at all, and at one time that would have included the British Isles and what was Doggerland. It is so important that these dances and the spiritual practices that underpin them are maintained even though my own culture lost them in antiquity.

I could see the ancient Northern Asian roots in some of the movements. Who is to say that some of modern movements from other dance forms were not handed down from other ancient ancestors. The beat is the same.

It's a healing dance. The cones represent prayers, it's supposed to sound like rain when you dance. The Jingle Dance originated from the Ojibwe.
