Part of Zappas genius was finding all these incredibly talented musicians to play with in his bands. This is a truly magical live rendition of Black Napkins.

Zappa called the future state of government over 3 decades ago - right-wing Christian facism. Do think Trump would have stood a chance if this man was still alive? And can you imagine the fun Zappa would have had with today's politicians?

Man, the way they switch between 4, 3 and 5 pulse time is just godly. The absolute artistic zenith of Gong IMHO... and Pierre Moerlen, my GOD his drumming is utterly sublime! I'll never get tired of this album man, NEVER!!! 😁🙏💙

I was listening to Planet Rock and one of the DJ's who calls himself a musician said he grew out of Zappa at the end of his teens as he thought it was all a bit jokey. Anyone who refers to themselves that way and can't appreciate the complexity and genius of compositions like this isn't really a musician.

I never had the pleasure of seeing Frank and the Mothers playback in my college days but three of my friends who were also guitarists playin in a band locally at beach front venue on the weekends all got together and formed our own fraternity called Phi Zappa Krappa no disrespect to the late Frank. It was later thatI had the pleaure to see Frank's son due his dads material in an intimate setting and wow he sure did gis old man justice cause it seemed as if was playing. One heck of a performance! and afterward he came out sat on the edge of the stage and conversed with the audience for over an hour! It was a spectacular night!!

Zappa bands are always impeccable, but this one includes some special elements for just a moment in time. And on the sacred ground of the Spectrum. Such joy this man has brought me through air sculpture🎸🦒
