the clapping every time Ray demonstrates is really unnecessary and honestly imo a little disrespectful.

Ray tries to cater to the audience way too much in these masterclasses. He needs to forget about them and focus on the student.

Having heard a minute - #3 Player is the next Ray. … Given how long Ray is letting him play uninterrupted… maybe Ray is thinking the same thing. Bow control 👏

Wonderful! Thank you so much. My wife and I are retired orchestral musicians and music teachers but seldom go to concerts any longer because we've heard and played it all soooo many times. If music like this were performed more often we'd be happy to pay double admission. But no, they keep playing Tchaikovsky.

Breathtakingly exciting and visceral emotionality.

Re: four seasons, it's very good, however i listen to a lot of old recordings from 1950's and 40's and find today's musicians tend to over-articulate instead of letting the music flow naturally and making the bar lines disappear.

I met Anastazja in Munich. I am so happy for her that she was able to play here. It takes a lot of courage to audition here. Her progress over time is enormous. Ray, her great role model, accompanied her with a lot of skill and humor. I wish her continued success. Ray Chen is undoubtedly a wonderful violinist, teacher and great maestro💖🎻🎶
