Nice, you explained it very well. I never comment on videos, but this video specifies the process very well. Thanks.

If you're replacing all the wheel studs, do they need to be installed in a star pattern just like if you were tightening the lug nuts? I'm not sure if I did exactly a star pattern when replacing all my studs and now there's a gap halfway around between the rotor and hub...

I wish I knew this before. I just used a stack of washers to pull the studs through with a T bar tire wrench. I still have an eighth of an inch to go on two studs and I've torn the threads out of three brand new lug nuts.

I've come to the conclusion that Nissan engineers are sadistic! The window motors seem to be designed so that grease flows out of the mechanism and into the motor, which destroys the brushes and armature. Just replace the brushes? Ha! good luck finding new ones. In general, they seem to delight in putting things in inaccessible locations and giving just not quite enough room for a socket or a wrench.

I just stumbled upon this and I think it’s great! I was looking to make ballistic panels for a backpack. I have 2 questions... What happens if the round hits in the middle of the tiles? And what kind of tiles again? I want to see if I can find a little bigger one. Thanks!
@ProfessionalPepperАй бұрын
PEI 5 tiles. It would be better on a final design to have no gap where the 2 plates meet and stagger the 2nd tile to ensure there isn't a double seem.
@LawnDadАй бұрын
@@ProfessionalPepperahh yes good call. I can try that. Is the aluminum supposed to be just a backing or have some stopping power? I am trying to keep the weight down for a backpack 🎒 but I think it may be heavy.

Try fiberglass or Kevlar instead of denim

I have made other designs with fiberglass, and they worked well, but I wanted to do a design with inexpensive available materials.

You know you don't have to do all that. Just take the wheel off and pop out that rubber plug that covers the brake adjustment hole. Line the wheel up w the adjustment wheel and you can do it very easily.

What would you do if the nut got stuck on the bolt with the installer… and the lug lost its threads so now it’s just spinning freeely 😢

How do you know that the stud is all the way in besides looking at it? I don't want to over tighten it. Edit: Can I use an impact instead of ratchet?
@ProfessionalPepper3 ай бұрын
You can use an impact. Once you feel it's snugged on, you can put on the wheel, and when you torque it down it will fit itself till it's maxed out.

I think the more flexible alluminum was able to handle the rounds crushing the tile without being deformed. I think hard steel plates may be effected more early on as the bullet is penetrating before it actually hits the steel itself. I could totally be wrong though. Im no expert in balistics. One thing id probably do though to improve the design is use smaller tiles and more of of them. Im not sure if they are available or if they could be made DIY, but i would use four layers of smaller tiles four times thinner, and overlap them so that in between the tiles arent as much of a week spot. I think it could offer the same protection as your design, just without having week spots in between the tiles. I guess two large tiles that cover the whole plate could be used but then theres a chance that the entire plate gets cracked and compromized.

Mine just blew out, waiting on new regulator, and watched this video to verify things that need to be done in a certain order. Thanks.
@50buttfish5 ай бұрын
BUT, ensure you have the correct motor connector; mine (driver side) has a 6-pin configuration; most R/R I've seen never mention which connector, 6-pin or 2-pin. Luckily I found Amazon carries ALL RIGHT side/PASSENGER 2-pins; EBay seems to carry nothing BUT Driver side 6-pin, motor, or motor and regulator. Just the motor is an easy R&R, 3 screws; while apart it is a good time to give the regulator a look over, and cleaning.

Oh please! Don't waste your money on this garbage. Just put a larger nut over the stud, then thread on your stud...it'll pull in the lug into position.

Yikes! What type of seeds are they, and what type of toxic carton are you using. I've had no issues with this method.
@Ebees_Map6 ай бұрын
@@NissanDudeAZ I used various different types of heirloom and hybrid tomato seeds. I also used a mustard seed. I think it's the same material as your egg carton because it looks the same. I think the issue is that the egg carton absorbs a lot of the moisture from the soil which makes the soil dry out.
