Steph and I talked about adding the Beatles to their repertoire, I am guessing about 10 years ago, or more, as a way of appealing to a more diverse audience. And, of course, they are great tunes. Still, it is hard to imagine that there are millennials out there who have never heard of the Beatles ...... Mike Lipskin has played Lady Madonna and Yesterday, as I recall. No doubt there are other tunes which would benefit from a stride treatment. Perhaps even enough for an entire album .

For those people who have repeated the well known saying that Ginger had to do all the same steps - but in high heels....the truth was that Ginger Rogers was a great dancer but she was not really a tap dancer. She could learn the dance well enough to photograph but could not do the taps. Her tap steps were all re-recorded afterwards usually by Hermes Pan the choreographer doing the female part, or Fred Astaire himself.

si condividiamo, per questo lo abbiamo inserito nel canale, queste musiche non vanno più di moda, ma é interessante ricordare come si armonizzava all'epoca. Inoltre c'erano grandi orchestre e grandi arragiatori. Oggi con un buon programma si può comporre musica senza sapere leggere uno sparito. Niente di male...
