Hey @KingsNg, you can go to the conversation using the chat icon in the desktop web app found in the vertical bar on the right side of the page. Click on the Chat icon and select the chat message/thread. Then select the sprocket icon at the top. You should now see the Delete conversation text in red on this next screen.

This is great! Do you happen to know any way to build a list or workflow for "second-time donors"? All I can figure out is an ever-growing list of "multiple-time donors" without a way to pull people off once they've made a second donation.
@ThreefoldSolutions
@ThreefoldSolutions 2 ай бұрын
Hey thanks for the comment and question. The way I think this could work is to create your normal giving condition with: Giving | Donors | Gave a donation | any amount | since | 6 months ago and then duplicate this condition and use AND then just change the time frame to a lower amount like 3 months ago or whatever time frame you would like to look at. Then you will get people that have given twice within a certain time frame. Proof me on this one, but I think that could work.

Is it possible to automate text sms messages from the lists feature? I only see automation for email templates.
@ThreefoldSolutions
@ThreefoldSolutions 3 ай бұрын
Hey @xaviertiradov, thanks for the question! So the built-in text option isn't available with automations or bulk actions. You would have to use a 3rd party integration for that. We love Clearstream and you can find out all of the details here for what they offer: app.clearstream.io/signup?ref=threefold&step=info It's a bit more than one-way texting, it's actually more like 2-way texting, keywords, workflows and lists and much more.

I love this channel--super helpful; keep up the great work! What's the process for assessing those who turn up in this list? Do you just go through each name with the "Activity" tab open to see what's recently changed for that person? Also, would this merit a workflow or automation where certain urgent red flags can trigger an immediate notification to Org Admins (rather than having to actually remember to go through this list every so often)?
@ThreefoldSolutions
@ThreefoldSolutions 3 ай бұрын
Thanks so much @scott29kelly. Great questions. I use this to primarily look for email address changes and that might alert me to a security breach where a staff member's email address has suddenly changed. If you have 2-factor authentication implemented for each staff member this becomes much less of a factor. But volunteers with "view" access can be another place to verify email address changes. Using an automation into a Workflow would give you the alert that a new profile has a change that you need to review.

@ThreefoldSolutions 4 ай бұрын
Hey there, thank you for your question! Have you tried using another web browser if on the desktop or if this is happening on the Church Center mobile app, could someone have changed the permissions on this group potentially? There's a setting that you can have on or off. It allows admin to choose whether messaging is on or off for a group. Or maybe it's a one-off issue and you need to reach out to Planning Center Groups support to just report it. Check the settings first though.
@ThreefoldSolutions

What type of reporting can be done with workflows?
@ThreefoldSolutions

@@gunthrulife thanks for your question! You can use lists to look into a workflow and see how many people are on a step, completed a step, and more. Unfortunately you can’t see which cards are overdue this way though. There will be software coming out soon called Parable, that will let you see overdue cards a lot more. Stay tuned.

@@gettinschoold2004 if you’re talking about your monthly cost based on an event with 400 attendees, archive the Registration/sign-up, then adjust your settings in the account settings/products/Registrations menu. Why does your MailChimp list show 185 contacts and your Planning Center List was only 89? I have the opposite issue, my Planning Center email list shows 580 contacts and when sync'ed with MailChimp, MailChimp only shows 270. I have gone through all of the settings several times but for some reasons the numbers don't match up.
@ThreefoldSolutions

Unfortunately, with my list, I have used the tag before for testing and examples and my list was just a quick list with the same name as I had used previously. That's probably why you are seeing additional names in my tag list vs. what was shown in my People list. But as far as your issue with 580 in your People list and only 270 in your MailChimp sync'd list, you'll have to give me some additional details. I know it might be obvious, but did you verify that everyone in the People list has an email address? Also, are any of the folks "unsubscribed" in MailChimp? Probably something additional going on with this sync, but I wanted to ask about the basics first.

Have you found a way to successfully change the printer's name to be visible in Planning Center? The device name is changed when I log in through the IP address and appears changed in everything except within the Planning Center Check-Ins app where it always displays the Model followed by the Serial Number. We're trying to change the name so it's easy for volunteers to know which printer they are selecting when having multiple printers on the network.
@ThreefoldSolutions
@ThreefoldSolutions 6 ай бұрын
Hey David, thanks for taking the time to ask a question! That's a great question, I do not know of a way to identify or set a name outside of the model or IP Address. We generally print out the Printer Information (under Information/Print Configuration/Printer Settings) and then use labels on the Printer and on the Station that say exactly which printer that station should be paired with. We hope to not change them up, but when we do, we know which station was paired with what printer by the label we attached to the bottom of the printer (i.e. Printer 01 and Station 01).
@ThreefoldSolutions
@ThreefoldSolutions 6 ай бұрын
One additional thought, you can change the name when using Bluetooth connections. Not sure that is helpful, but wanted to mention that you can modify the name when pairing for the first time with your device.
@DavidBrockJr
@DavidBrockJr 6 ай бұрын
@@ThreefoldSolutions thanks! I actually just heard back from PCO on this, they said that at the moment, the Check-In's app does not pull the name of the printer and instead over the network will only show the Model and Serial Number as the printer's name from an iPad.

How do you set up workflow from a list and not a form?
@ThreefoldSolutions

Hey Tamara, thanks for your question! You can use an automation in a list to add someone to a Workflow automatically when a person is added to that list. Hello Guys! Is it possible to use the Brother QL-810Wc in this manner with a MacBook as a Station? It seems that only mobile devices are supported for Brother. Any experiences?
@ThreefoldSolutions
@ThreefoldSolutions 7 ай бұрын
Hey Andras, unfortunately, Planning Center's Check-ins Station software only support the Brother printers from a mobile device. Having said that, you can use a "proxy" type of mobile device to act as the "Shared printing station" where the mobile device is actually the station connected via wifi, but the macbook will print labels through the shared mobile device station. You can experiment with using LAN connections and POE options (if you understand those things) on a single ipad or tablet and that might offer addtional shared printer station options as well.

Hey jennifercox9768, it depends on which option you used. If you used the People Form or third-party form, when you go the Forms settings page and then click on the Form listed. You should see the "delete" button. If you used the form builder built-into the Sign-up, you will have to remove the questions individually by clicking on them and you'll see that same delete button.

Hey Jonathan! There isn't a way to display your questions on a single screen (like typeform or survey monkey) but you can use those 3rd party forms and then link them to Planning Center using a new add-on called "Form Forward". So when someone fills out your typeform, they can have the information ported directly into a People workflow for follow up later. You can check it out here: app.formforward.io/sign-up

@vjrvideo You can display a People form on a Kiosk/PC screen and the user would not have to log in (within Church Center) first before filling out the form. So yes, it's possible to display a form, but not necessarily show only one field or question per screen. You can use a 3rd party form and then have that form information brought into a Planning Center People workflow. It's called Form Forward and you can check it out here: app.formforward.io/sign-up Also, I might suggest using a QR code that points to the form and putting that QR code on a sign or pre-service slide and asking people to fill it out. Most people have mobile phones these days and have their info. saved on those devices so it's easy for them to fill out the form quickly.

I know this seems to make sense to a non-tech person but the argument for a dedicated SSID has problems. The SSID is coming from the same AP that would be broadcasting the shared ssid. The ‘other clients’ connected, still using that AP. Additional SSID’s may burden the AP if it’s already broadcasting multiple SSID’s. Depending on the brand or generation of existing WiFi hardware, this burden can be more or less, but it’s not zero.
@ThreefoldSolutions
@ThreefoldSolutions 11 ай бұрын
Great points to consider Mike and appreciate your comments. The hope with dedicated and separate SSIDs is based on recommendations and experience with Check-ins just working better overall when set up this way, rather than all being on the same network that all congregants use.
