I’m really disappointed in my purchase. The mold still builds up inside the toothbrush, even after doing this clean up every time. I regret this really expensive purchase and would never recommend it to anyone.

I use this product, I wouldn't recommend it. There grows mold inside my the tooth brush. The mold only comes out a little bit not when you tap but smash. My breath smells worse then before brushing. Major design flaw. The old products don't have this.

Build-up of chalk had cemented brush to handle. A few drops of de-chalking liquid in and around the brush/handle seam, loosens the 'cement'.

Any idea in the app how to change “unguided” to what it really was “guided”? I followed the the app but does it recognize that, Nope. If it keeps this up it’s going back no matter how useful the toothbrush itself is.

I just got a brand new Oral B electric toothbrush because my old one (expensive Oral B!) was leaking a grey fluid, seemingly from the handle and not the base. I clean the head every time and dry the base. it seems to come out when I shake the handle after I have brushed. It is liquid, no bits of mould or anything. Anyway, I just used my brand new one for the first time and exactly the same thing happened on the first use!!! I have tried wetting it when it is dry and turning it on without brushing my teeth, then shaking it in the same way, and no grey water comes out. What is going on? Also, it's not originating from my mouth! So why is this happening? Help!

I have a Sonicare but heard these brushes do a better job cleaning, the mould issue isn’t great though. My Sonicare never gets mouldy, after every use I rinse and tap all water out of the head. Judging from the responses from Oral B they’re not going to fix this with the IO series as they’re stubbornly not treating it as the problem it is. This is a huge shame.
@EVOLVED-q1q5 ай бұрын
If mold grows, I think you should dry it better with a towel or something... moisture=mold growth 😊
@deathstrike89925 ай бұрын
This issue should be a class action lawsuit. It simply was not designed properly considering this didn’t happen on the prior design (pre iO).
@MrDangeresque15 күн бұрын
This happened on my now decade-old Oral-B Triumph toothbrush as well and is not a new problem with the iO series

@@MrDangeresque I’ve had multiple of the old model and never was an issue. Or if so even close to this iO situation.

"that's it" - are you kidding me? Im sending mine back, it's rediculous. Why are there slots in the sides of the brush heads anyway, its leaking like crazy when in use. my sonicare did not do that and took basically no more maintenance than a normal tb.

So many dentist recommend to scrub side with up and down motion rather than sawing motion. Now I am confused
@crustyskellington40565 ай бұрын
You should only use the sawing motion to gently enter the space between the teeth if it’s not sliding in nicely, but then stop before you reach the gums and switch to the cleaning motion.
@iamalexwolf3 ай бұрын
I think the person who wrote the script meant overall gliding it up and down through your teeth but the animator probably didn’t understand it correctly and has animated it like this which is incorrect unless you are trying to enter the teeth.

If you find it difficult to wind floss around your fingers to clean between your teeth, please try a double-handle floss holder.
@excusemequeencomingthrough76847 ай бұрын
that EASY. BOY YOU HAVE NO IDEA, HOW SLIPPERY BETWEEN THE GUMS ARE. ESPECIALLY WHEN IT'S HURTING CRAZY EVERYTIME
@SarahS.-re7yi8 ай бұрын
Naw.. I did it like that, but it wasn't enough. I use those rubber tooth picks to clean that base part that the brush head attaches into. I push the tooth pick all the way down into it and move around to get all the gunk out.

some people use flossed dental picks or water flossers if they can’t manage ordinary flossing. could try those for around the teeth that you can’t get traditional floss into yet some people also use a water flosser after traditional flossing anyways. i like to put can put fluoridated mouthwash in the water flosser, swish with it afterwards, wait a little while, then finish with brushing with a fluoridated toothpaste

It’s not only the toothbrush head but the body too. When I noticed how there’s mold in the brush head, I really take the time to separate them and clean them after use. At the top of the body there’s a gap around the metal piece, this is prone to have mold. I have the light color toothbrush. After awhile of using, I do notice the mold sipping out of the body where the gaps are. There’s no mold on the outside, but at the gaps, it’s very clear that there’s mold. I can’t imagine what’s like inside the toothbrush body.

For those who say they have mold problems in their toothbrush, it's because they don't take care when cleaning. I've had it for a year and haven't had these problems. After brushing my teeth I spend 2 minutes cleaning it....recommend those who have mold problems to be more thorough in cleaning.

I purchased a new Oral-B toothbrush that cost me over $120 six months ago. The old one crapped out on me too. The new one is much worse. The Oral B head started to fray within three months. About a month later, this fetid smell came from what I thought was my mouth. I went to my Dentist who gave me the all clear regarding my dental health. She told me to check the smell of the mechanism beneath the brush head that I clean after each brushing, as well as cleaning the inner and outer brush head. Sure enough, something must be growing in the mechanism. My old Oral B power toothbrush at a third of the price never smelled after my brushing and cleaning regimen. I dislike Phillip’s Sonicare because it doesn’t reach my back teeth as easily as the Oral-B piece of crap. Is there another brand of electric toothbrush that doesn’t screw you out of your money anyone could recommend?
