Hello, i work a marijuana manufacturing faculty with over 10,000 plants. And we have tried m-pede spray, green cleaner and nufilm mix. And we even release Lace wings to eat them. But we still have aphids and they are starting to rise in population. And this is in multiple green house rooms we have. getting worried at thus point.

Hey I’m super curious, what are some of the reasons why a plant loved by consumers is not accepted by wholesalers? Great topic!

Great episode. The benchmarking data is interesting. The net positive impact should definitely be emphasized and monetized.

…I wonder if you could crossbreed a mandivilla & a garlic vine… it would be another way to get purple cool toned flowers plus increase resistance to pests and disease if it’s possible…
@kjerstinorell90664 ай бұрын
Do you all only grow mandevillas? The sun seems more intense down here in the summer than it was so I have been searching Etsy and Facebook for different flowering plants that will survive in zone 10b in the summer. I have two garlic vines? They are twining vines that get pinky lavender flowers that are similar but a little brighter than the blueforia. They hid from the sun under other plants but grew with no flowers in the shade. They are 4 - 5 feet tall now and I have read that they bloom in October so see if it’s this year or next year. Nothing ate them & no pest issues. If you break a leaf it smells like garlic so nothing eats that. I got a sandpaper vine. It’s very healthy and green in partial sun but has not grown at all. It is a twining vine that looks like wisteria but grows in hotter climates & doesn’t damage structures.

I love the Bluephoria! I live in Florida zone 10 b & I just found them at Home Depot. I have been wishing for a blueish purple Mandevillas for years! I have a fired up orange that I got last spring? It was the tiniest plant I have ever bought. Like an inch tall😂. The summers have been so hot I didn’t have the heart to put it outside so it’s growing on a string that goes around my kitchen window. It’s healthy but no flowers. We named it Shania Twine😂. I will put it outside the second week of October. She is about three feet tall and skinny at this point. I had a red topiary mandivilla but it fried out there by June. The only flowering plant that survived in that area (total sun) was a lantana fyi.

I literally don’t know of anyone that asked for this. I just want a standard 4” supertunia that doesn’t cost $10 a plant

I agree. The markup on these plants is ridiculous. But then again, Garden centers need to eat and live. If I recall, PW uses a lot of cuttings and dividing for propagation. There are hardly any seed plants. This helps control what the plant should be, as seeds will change the color and habit of the plant. This also affects the price since more work is being done on each plant instead of having 10K seeds where 90% survive vs 10K cuttings and maybe 50-70% survival rate. Thank god my ma'n'pa Garden Center has buy 3 for 15 (5.99/6.99) instead of 9.99 each for the same plant at big box stores.

Safer's Insecticidal Soap works great. To avoid phyto-toxicity, apply it as if you were washing the plants, i.e. on a cloth. They die on contact. If your crop is cannabis, including hemp, be sure and look between the leaves and in the growing tips. They hide inside.

Sulphume Hotbox system. It will kill every insect quickly if you follow the instructions. Aphids are not usually a big problem for Cannabis anyway. The biggest threat is Thrips followed closely by Spider mites. PS: I have 30 years experience.

1st up, thank you so much for Not having any annoying back ground music here. 2- This info is so helpful. 3- For getting rid of bugs/mites etc, Does sprinkling Cinnamon powder on the soil of the plant always work?

I found some white powdery mold on my plants. Began treating them than noticed my ladybugs had died off and within 3 days i had eggs on my leaves so im now adding neem oil to my home made mold remedy. Really works well but the heavy rain after really messed me up ugh

These are too big. You should make a slim line or bar-style light. The hot trend in lighting now is full even lighting covering the entire canopy, with almost even par everywhere. Like the IonFrame by AC Infinity.
