It is straight up insta kill even with vitality cloak this is nuts been at it for 2 hours

It's primary weakness is the manual detonation, requiring you to switch into Axe Mode and also hit with it to activate the blasts. It pairs well with moves like Air Dash where you quickly switch into and deliver an attack in Axe Mode (Axe Hopper and Axe Mode follow-ups on Morphing Advance work as well but are slower and more committal). It would be cool if you could proc the blasts with the phial burst from a successful guard point, but maybe that would be a bit much.

It’s better damage-wise but requires more skill since the pins disappear if you don’t pop them in time :^)

@@TheOptimistDelusion i mean if you aren’t hitting the monster with the axe mode often enough to trigger the pins then you are playing charge blade wrong. When they explode they also extend the timer on shield charge so they are 100% better than the normal switch skill

Use Dual Blades with evade extender or Constitution. They can't kill you if they don't hit you, and their AI is very passive.

Hi, I just reached rank 9 yesterday. I max upgraded the blueprint of Throwing Knife that gave me 150 damage, and I think head shot has a multiplier too. I'm not sure if it's an automatic headshot if you throw knife even if the auto aim is off in PS4. Also, I did some testing. Since I'm still in the very early part of the game, and in a map where the enemy rank is low, the enemy health is lower too. Even in hard mode, the Volatile takes a 2 to 3 knife throw.

It's a far older design than either of those. Think it was introduced in Tri for the first time, if I remember correctly.

Are you using the right armor and skills? I tried it when the event first ran and it worked out well for me
