Im lucky to remember 70s funk and R&B. I was in my mid teens growing up in Hell's Kitchen NY. Would be hard to do a worthy cover without the horns, flute, strings and of course Black Moses.

Any cover he did was better than the original and always made them long like seven minutes or BETTER

At the time that this song came out, I was 18 and I was in a interracial relationship. Could totally identify with this because I was so scared. About her friends, my friends and family, both families.

The best theme song from a movie ever. The Academy thought it was great as well. A musical genius.

These guys always reminded me of a Hard Rock version of Starship. Freddie and Mickey Thomas could have interchanged singing duties on each band’s records and nobody would have ever known😅

Yes, December 2024 I remember the time I'm 72 so you know I remember that's the music with music not saying they don't have music today but they don't make no classic music. All they make is just rap music and this is the problem in our community as Black people I'm just saying y'all this is real music And this industrial music industrial music in our community all this filthy talk about this and that and taking a nap now Bam Bam Bam. This is what they want. We need to wake up young people not we but Joe cause I'm way up there, but this was real music, oh yeah, no to the new route where it disrespected ladies special black women's and this is the problem and our black community with this rap music is constantly telling you how to destroy one another when the hell you gonna wake up damn man, wake up and see you already Peed all over yourselfdammit boy❤👀💯🙏🏿‼️
