I'm getting ready to do an egr delete on my 81 f100, been having too many issues with it causing a miss when warm, did you have to mess with the timing or the tuning of the carb after you deleted the egr? I've heard stories of having to do that because the engine wouldn't run right without the egr.

The 318 is the most common engine that came in those vans and is one of the most reliable gas engines ever built. They run forever, have a decent amount of torque, and when something breaks, it’s not very expensive or challenging to fix. Gotta recommend the 318 over the V6 forsure. Although the 360 is also a great V8 with alittle more horsepower.

Yeah pretty much. Needs a new exhaust manifold. Replaced the gasket and the manifold cracked when I put it back on. Still need to fix that but shit costs so much right now.
How’d you block of the exhaust part of that tube. Going through it rn with my old 4.9 bs egr. Somebody had a miserable attempt at deleting the smog pump and the egr and decided they’d fuck with the vaccum lines 😂. Bolts pretty hard to find so guess I’ll just make something but how did you do the one bolt on the header?

Yeah it seems too. It’s got a 2.25 inch inlet and 1.75 inch outlet so it’s kind of small for a bigger V8 like that but it is a straight through design so it flows really well.

No idea, that’s my brother. He’s the shoe slut of the family. 300 RPM is pretty low for any engine so although I’m sure she’d idle at 300 for a few seconds, she’s not gonna do it well. If you meant 3,000 then yeah she’ll do 3K but these I6 like to run between 800 and 2,500 RPM. Anything lower is just gonna foul a spark plug, and anything higher than 2500 is just a waste of fuel.
