I feel pity , this is falsehood.. it's just so sad.. people in the old testament contributed with goods, animals and all ,as sacrifices.. but we don't have those, our sacrifices are in the form of money and it's not about the money but how people decide to activate their faith.. but there are people who happened to seek to please pastors with the sacrifices they make, instead of this being in between God and them through prayer and supplication with an intention to please God and draw His attention.. if i decided to sell my phone to show only to God that i'm desperate for Him, because of my faith , He rewards me.. Even testing Him with the little i've got , God accepts it.. God does not need our money but is interested in one's faith! the tithes ,offerings , sacrifices and testing God through them is all biblical and is part of God's Word.. it's the same faith that abundantly blessed Abraham and all the other faith warriors, they serve as an example or point of references.. I mean, we live in a generation of hopelessness, hardship! We believe the God that transformed people's lives in the time of old, is exactly the same God who will transform us.. and there are many testimonies that glorified God, to prove that.. God never changes.. If the goal was to promote businesses, you would have seen pastors riding in costly cars with mansions.. The pastors there have nothing to offer , only serving God and the people with God's Word to uplift but only God provides.. i believe, as the Word of God also says , that the offerings are placed in the storehouse, so that there may be food in God's house.. that is malachi 3:10.. it also provides for God's servants who do the work of God as His Word also says, and I believe that most expenses are for the gospel of God to proceed through the stopsuffering newspapers, church building rents and many other things.. It's a pity that some people have this heart postures, He does not see as God sees.. and only God can change this.. The universal church is growing everyday, God is the one who is making it stand.. i can agree that there are pastors who enter otherwise in God's work without the Holy Spirit, without the eyes of discernment and ofcourse not ready to suffer for the gospel's sake, thinking that it's some sort of employment or the last thing they could ever do in order to be fed, where some of them had nothing to sacrifice.. They never understood the depth of surrender.. it is not about the church or about those who lead them, but the problem is within themselves.. With the spiritual eye, we are not to accept the blessings alone but also adversary which perfect our character and faith, knowing that joy is on the way.. If Jesus suffered , we are to be joyful that we partake also in the same sufferings , knowing that He is with us.. Some pastors get into the work of God thinking it's a bed of roses, going in there to misinterpret what is said, there with carnality and not with thoughts connected with God's.. It's sad.. There might've been imperfections in the growth of the church, some of the pastors aggressions because of nature and they felt persecuted but only God was to be informed of that.. It might've happened that the pastors were uniformed of the people's emotional faith to sell houses, cars and all.. Some people might've given off these things out of their own interests and pleasing people(pastors) and not with the intention of obeying God and glorifying God.. what could have God done with such a faith?? to reward it?? Let alone that but was this the former pastors' focus?? God has his own way of dealing with His people and God has a plan and a purpose, with what has been happening, the church still stands, the work of God is still growing.. God is Just, ngumthetheleli.. People leave the church or the work of God for different reasons; offence or harsh words, or some bad response from an assistant or pastor but all this is taken account for even through apology(humility), losing a person's soul like that would never be intentional.. because fellowship is to be promoted, i believe that all of the pastors and assistants work to improve.. We are all not perfect, we sin by talking thinking and doing.. And i trust that all the pastors , assistants and leaders including us , members take account through reflection and individual space in prayer to God for forgiveness of these unintentional sins.. Wrong behaviour is not condoned but all this is for one to understand! I once had a lack of faith and questioned all things, but God answered me through the Spirit of Truth, the Holy Spirit.. I pray that the Spirit of God may guide all of you into all truth.. Do not be deceived by those who fell from their faith
