There isn’t any conformation. I like to think that Marina is like a sister to Pearl because siblings always hug and stuff(boiz obviously are different) but leave it to the splatoon community to over sexualise characters from a kids game💀

Im 100% in agreement with you. I like them better as friends. Even if side order heavily hints at it, you dont need to consider it cannon becuz whether or not you consider side order cannon makes no difference to the story of splatoon. Side order is just a useless fun extra story mode with no real relavance

Slight correction: Happy Little Workers and Ever Further are NOT made by ω-3; you typically only hear their songs while playing Salmon Run, since it's a Salmonid band. Other Salmon Run-associated songs like Happy Little Workers and Ever Further are actually made by Grizzco, who opposes Salmonids. You'll notice that the Happy Little Workers leitmotif is present in Bear With Me, the boss theme against Mr Grizz in Splatoon 3.
