Thanks so much for watching! I was in DC in early December last year and did most of my sightseeing on Sunday and Monday. It was veeerry quiet and I think it’s because it was around the thanksgiving weekend and everyone was home with their families! Super cold as well which may detract the tourists at that time of year haha

Not fortunate enough to live in Cyprus but I am lucky enough to visit a few times a year. Next week I come to Paphos for the second time and September I fly into Larnaca for two weeks in Protaras. Just working my way randomly through your vids. Why Paphos over other parts of the island as I see you've been all over?

Hope you had a fab time in Paphos and enjoy your Protaras trip in Sept! We liked Protaras because of the clear water and amazing beaches but I do think hiring a car or buggy/quad is best because then you get to see other places like Cape Greco, Ayia Napa Marina and the other beaches around. We holidayed in Paphos and knew friends and family that lived there so moved there too. Even having seen other places around the island I’d still choose Paphos to live in, although it is getting more and more expensive!!

I’m so happy I found your channel! I also live in Cyprus! I’m originally from Canada but have been in Cyprus almost 7 years, now I’m working at getting my 10 year. It’s nice to see vlogs from Paphos since I live in Tala, it really reminds you to not forget how beautiful it is here and not get too consumed with everyday life and take a few mins and enjoy where we are. Loved the video!

It’s so tiny! It’s the DJI Pocket 2. I’m so impressed with the quality and stabilisation - it’s on a gimbal so hopefully less shaky than other vlogging cameras!

Hey! Protaras has more beautiful beaches and clear water and is very touristy. Paphos is more of a vibrant city with lots of locals as well as the more touristy harbour. Within Paphos there are lots of areas that Airbnb’s are in demand - places like Coral Bay/Sea Caves/Peyia just outside of Paphos have more beaches and space so potentially better for holidaying!

Thanks! Yes it’s probably better than sitting still and cramping up - I felt surprisingly ok the few days after the half marathon so the walk was probably a good idea in the end!

Nice road trip, thanks for sharing. The Tombs of the Kings is such a cool sight, reminds me of Indiana Jones movies. I kid you not, I just came back from visiting the Diamond Valley Lake in California and it is very similar to the Asprogia Kannaviou Dam in terms of the terrain, water, and surrounding. Beautiful place!

We can all relate to this video after we experienced the pandemic! While we had remote working long before the pandemic, it is becoming more common (at least in certain industry) even after the pandemic. I've never been to Cyprus but it sure looks like a wonderful place to live--it's like always sunny! I love your interaction with Zach at the end of the video too!

Yes it’s the silver lining from the pandemic I feel, the increase in people working from home and employers being open to hybrid working models. It’s certain sunny most of the time!

Great video and editing! Me and my family we love Paphos and have an apartment there, it's like a second home :) The best part is the great weather most of the year and it's still close enough to fly there any time we want quickly.

That's great, I didn't know you could see the medieval wall under the Posada del Dragón, but I might have guessed as the name of the street, Cava Baja, means "Lower Moat" in old Spanish. I remember the Posada before it was renovated, it used to be a centuries old inn, very seedy. Thanks for an excellent video.

Hey! We moved to Cyprus from England in December 2020 so in the midst of lockdowns and pandemic travel restrictions, it was a crazy time! We’ve been living in Paphos for about 2.5 years now ☺️

Sorry, the flag flying on Buckingham Palace was the Union Flag which means the monarch is NOT in the palace. The Royal Standard is flown when they are in.

The Royal Standard (actually, it's a Banner of Arms rather than a Standard) is flown when the Monarch is in residence in one of the royal palaces and on his car, ship, or aeroplane. It may be flown on any building, official or private, during a visit by the Monarch, if the owner or proprietor so requests. It famously replaces the Union Flag over the Palace of Westminster when the Monarch visits during the State Opening of Parliament. Traditionally no flag was flown on any palace if the monarch wasn't present. However, controversy arose regarding the lack of a flag at half-mast over Buckingham Palace following the death of Diana, Princess of Wales, in 1997. The Queen was then in summer residence at Balmoral; and according to established custom, no flag was displayed over Buckingham Palace. The Queen proposed a compromise whereby the Union Flag would be flown at half-mast on the day of Diana's funeral. The Union Flag was also flown at half-mast over Buckingham Palace as a mark of respect on the first anniversary of the death of Diana, Princess of Wales, on Bank Holiday, Monday, 31 August 1998. Since then, the Union Flag has flown regularly in the monarch's absence.
