@@EricLTrombone Yes, they are costly, I'm saving to buy one in the future. does change the sound? Because one of my teachers has a rusted saxophone (like much more) that doesn't play anymore.Evenn if it does, your music is too good to make a difference

The thing that tends to make more of a difference is the size of the horn or whether or not it’s had the lacquer removed. I play different ones here because they’re all different sizes and have slightly different inherent tone qualities because of that, it helps me sound a little more like a section of 4 people instead of one person playing 4 parts. The “rust” thing doesn’t typically matter too much in my experience, it’s just nice to have stuff that looks good.
