CCW is the best water bottle pocket and stuff-it pouch. :) It can even hold ipad in hard case, etc. Very versatile bag. Love it!

Not bad. I think you did a good job. You may want to train her in setting up tarps because bivys tend to build up moisture. I would recommend you use a 20 degree sleeping bag and a backpack. What you have there is good for EDC. Also a Bugout bag needs warm weather gear such as Jacket, puffy, fleece combination.

That turned out really good! You perfectly showed why people just spray them down instead of what you did which wasn't easy lol, rattle can gets that battle worn look with some use and blends even better than ceracoat imo. One thing I've noticed is larger patterns camouflage better than smaller ones, with smaller stencils you get more detail and it looks better. While larger stencils seem to blend better because the small detail gets lost with distance and appears almost as one color, larger colored areas don't lose as much camouflage effect with distance from what I can tell. Just think like Bob Ross when painting them, and it could never be wrong! 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for showing!

Best use of folding shovels is as an adze, swing it between your legs. It needs to have a heavy blade as you're using the momentum to chop the ground, light is not best for that. Having said that, most of the folding, screw to lock, military knock-offs fail in this mode when the blade lock fails to hold in place. The german style one with the button is good in this respect. Do not use the tri-fold types as a lever in hard ground as most will fail. They are 'Adze/Shovels', so chop the ground and shovel out the loose stuff you create. Have fun out there!

Could you have show how tk actually attach the new harness? Was kinda vague and all of a sudden you just had it on there

The fact that it was meant to be used with metal mags makes me wonder if the guy who founded Magpul ran into this issue because he was wearing a tap, as pulling the metal magazines out can be a pain, and the Magpul, their first product, would actually be very useful when used in conjunction with this rig.

People always rag on the stock h harness but I don't see anything wrong with it. All you have to do is cut the strap in the middle and use it as a back strap, and have it clip to the bottom while the harness clips to the top corners. The argument regarding the inside zipper is kind of fun also as people always mention it poking you in the stomach yet the zipper itself stands higher than the metal pull tab. Regarding noise though I agree with that 100%.

Put a turkey roasting bag in the altoids/knife kit. Carries water and you can boil water with it. Have you tried charging your phone with that radio? Should be a power bank as well..

Turkey roasting bags (instead of whirl paks, work great and you can boil water in them. Mylar blankets work great with a flashing orange puck or IR flasher that is battery operated. Just layout the blanket and place the flasher on it. Put a tiny pencil sharpener in the kit instead of the magnifying glass, school pencil sharpener makes tinder. Dee don't accept cash but Moose accept Master card...
