I hunt from a saddle and im a smaller adult but i like the convenience of a compact bow when im up in a tree..years ago i bought a apprentice 3 ready 2 hunt..only change i made was putting a aluminated 5 pin sight..it is 265 fps at 60lbs and is also 27" axcel 2 axcel the royal is getting better velocity with less draw wheight which im very impressed with that..i pulled my bow out today to make shure its still dialed in and i have my 4th pin at 40 yards i never even sighted my 5th pin in,but ive never taken a deer past my 3rd pin which is set at 30-35 yards..i shoot carbon express with cheap 100gr broad heads from walmart and ive never had a issue..the apprentice 3 is a good bow for the money i think ive seen it in the 150 dollar price range now since its been out for many years but you would get a better performer with the royal still at a great price point..bear has great products and for me i dont need a Matthew's or pse to harvest a deer, basic tools that get the job done works for me

I’m glad I’m not the only person that views these two bows as comparable. I’ve tried both and decided on the APA. I did not like the lift draw cycle at all. I’m honestly surprised there are so many people that like them. There’s no build to the peak it’s all up front in the cycle where it’s hardest to pull. The apa is stiffer draw than most other bows but I didn’t find it as hard as the lift. Thanks for the video

Someone please show me how using this material will save you money. Using this material from Harbor Freight isn’t cheap. $10/4pcs. Cut in them in half pieces takes 20 packs of 4 each to make a 20” target cuz they are only 1/2” thick. $10x20 packs = $200 + two straps + wood = approx. $250
