Nice Martin! The rise of Kubernetes and Openshift has made cloud agnosticity less costly... but it still isn't and never will be a free ride on the carrousel. The most important factor IMO: the usage/leveraging of managed services (DB, Queues, S3 Storage, etc...) through the service broker API, to which Azure, AWS and GCE have give massive contribution lately. PS: it's interesting to see both AWS and Azure offering both vanilla Kubernetes AND Openshift as managed service (or at least in beta). They both don't want to miss their piece of the market pie. Openshift is becoming very popular in Hybrid contexts within large cooperations, Kubernetes is more for smaller companies or start-ups. PSS: DC/OS... what? Seriously ... 😉.
