>how bad Jennifer Beals' voice acting is in the Miramax version Yeah honestly, Sarah Crowe and Bobbi Page sold the scream a lot better. Also why did the Miramax version have a factory whistle when Zigzag charged at the screen?
@Josh366lol28 күн бұрын
If I were to guess, when Miramax was changing the voices, I bet all the voices from the Calvert version were in one layer, so they redubbed some lines (like King Nod talking about the Witch) and reused audio (with Zigzag talking to Phido and Zigzag laughing). Though that's a theory.

I own the 1987 VHS version of Lady and the Tramp, and after watching this, I was glad that I never got the 1998 version. The DVD is better because you can see the whole film with nothing being cropped out of the film. 1st Place: 2006 DVD 2nd Place: 1987 VHS 3rd Place: 1998 VHS

If Warner Bros ever owned the movie instead of Miramax, part of the audio from the majestic films version should've been left and Jonathan Winters would still voice the thief

Yeah... If Warner weren't cowards and just let Richard finished up the 15 minutes remaining, this could've been a masterpiece in everything animation. It is true though I DO have a soft spot for the Miramax version, but it's still a shame Williams' masterpiece was taken away and turned into something it's not. The takeaways however are this; the final scenes in the release version were done by Williams' team (poetic) and it's thanks to a devoted fan like Garrett that brought this film back into the spotlight where it should've been from the start and THAT helped Richard Williams screen his original cut for all to see at BFI. It did have a happy ending, but there still many ways to go for it to finally see the way it was intended.
