I am a nuclear security guard oh, we used to carry Glock 22 40 cal. I highly recommend Trijicon sights so you can shoot at night. The glow from the nuclear Isotopes made it so easy to get sight alignment.

Thanks for posting Rockaway Mall. I haven't been there for 30 years. I have so many memories of that place, as a kid being dragged around by my mom, and going they with my friends as a teen and in my twenties. Wish I could go back and visit it again the way it was.

It was pretty busy before the pandemic hit. Once they shut everything down, retail stores in the mall suffered big time. When everything opened back up, people didn't come back. It hasn't been the same since. Since I was born and raised in Rockaway, this mall has been a huge part of my life.

Very nice mall!!! Definitely want to see this place one day.

I’ve only been away from NJ for a year and a half, and it saddens me to see that my old childhood haunt just isn’t surviving well after the pandemic. It’s just so empty! ;~; But I’m happy to see that East Meets West and Master Wok are still there! Master Wok has some DANG good food. And East Meets West is just cool. I was happy to find a MUCH smaller local shop in my new area that’s very similar, BUT I grew up with East Meets West. It’s one of the shops that’s been in the Rockaway Mall since I was in high school, though it’s moved store fronts SEVERAL times over the years (the current location you see in your video is the largest to date). Oh! And if you want the best hand made donuts, GO TO GIO’S!

So much melancholic nostalgia. Nostalgic because I used to work at the Compact Disc World (where the Jos A Bank is (was?)-outside entrance next to the Cheesecake Factory/Barnes & Noble shown at the beginning of this video) at this mall from 1998-2004, as I was putting myself through college. Melancholic because I don’t even live in New Jersey anymore, and it’s extraordinarily unlikely I’ll ever set foot in this mall again. This video is the closest thing; thanks for that.
