Michel, thank you so much for this video. My Great Grand Uncle is buried here. I have been looking for many years to find an image of his headstone. Thank you for all that you do to remember those that gave so much. Having an image of his headstone means the absolute world to me. Thank you once again. - 1899.

My Grandfather, Rifleman David Sibley lies in the far left corner by the big tree. My mother was born after he was killed at the Battle of Festubert. Some years ago I paid my respects at his grave. The graveyard is small and beautifully kept. Nicholas Dover.

Thank you so much for making this video. Frederick Skinner was my great uncle. I attended the rededication service on March 5th and laid one of the wreaths that you can see. He was the oldest and last of three brothers to be killed. Charles aged 23 and Harold aged 19 have no known graves. Never forgotten RIP

Jean Swain Greetings Mr Lesieu On behalf of our family members, I wish to thank you sincerely for recording this video and placing it on the internet. At the 10 minute 29 second mark, you have recorded the grave and photo of our uncle John Stewart Sutton Swain. He was a teacher by profession and originated from the area near Carman in the Province of Manitoba- Canada. He fought in and survived the Vimy Battle but was killed in action on the 3rd day of June 1917. To my knowledge no one from our family every had the opportunity to visit his grave in La Chaudière . Our family wished to correct this sad situation and in the morning of the 3rd of June 2017, ten of our family members were in La Chaudière Military Cemetery to visit his grave. We all traveled from Canada for this purpose. Today is November 11th and as always many of our thoughts are of the women and men that have perished while involved in war. Thank you again for allowing us to visit our uncles grave once more. We will now look forward to making this visit an annual event on the 11th. John Swain

Thank you for visiting this cemetery and posting your video on KZbin. My second cousin John Cooper Sumner was listed as being 20 but actually he was three months short of his 20th birthday. I add his name to the remembrance wreath I lay at our war memorial every Remembrance Sunday for the four members of my family who have lost their lives fighting for our country.

My great grand uncle Pte Thomas Ernest Hone is buried there. He was part of the 5th Canadian Infantry Battalion and he was killed instantly on March 16, 1917 just after lunch time around 1:30-2:00pm when an artillery shell hit his sector. He and 3 others were killed instantly while a few others were badly wounded. His plot is IV. F. 26. He was just 21 years old. Thank you for making this! Means a lot to me.

Helo, Probably, it often happened that soldiers were buried in small groups, of 3 or 4. But following artillery fire the graves were pulverized. the authorities recalled that there were already bodies there and he reminded them. The cemetery is very close to the front of the battle of Loos.
