These cheap a$$ governments need to purchase 1000 Tesla homes and put them on that land for homeless. They give billions to illegals, and next to nothing to O'Biden forced homeless.

Although eventually highlighted later in the video, the 18.6 year cycle of the lunar standstill where the moon rises between the two spires was the sole reason for building the structures there. This lunar knowledge has its origins in Meso America, specifically with the Mayans. During the same era as the ancestral Puebloans, this lunar tack knowledge was also known and observed by the formative Mississippian Culture of the eastern woodlands and centered in the Mississippi River bottoms adjacent to current day St. Louis in the great Mississippian city of Cahokia. Just as the ancestral Puebloans traveled to Chimney Rock for that major lunar event, the Mississippi also had several sites that they would travel to every 18.6 years; i.e. the Emerald Acropolis in Illinois and also a site in Trempealeau, Wisconsin far up River from Cahokia. The moon was directly associated with water/rain, which was fundamental to growing maize by the Mayans/Puebloans/Mississippians.

I love that park, and I love horses. This is BS. They need to respect the land and the NATURAL inhabitants. The horses belong there and it's part of the natural cycle. This is about human greed for sure. I comprehend the need for "management" in certain circumstances, however only insane people would presume to protect every rock structure of those long past in that entire park at the expense of other LIVING beings that belong there. Taking them from their natural habitat and domesticating them is wrong when it's a simple matter of bureaucracy combined with greed. Pay someone to put in water for them and select a few key areas to protect with barriers if you need to. I hope there is a spiritual repercussion upon everyone who is involved with this project for the wrong reasons. (Not the actual good people who care about the well being of the horses and the land. You are living in a natural world with natural cycles. One day humans will learn that they should not be disrupted indiscriminately. That day will likely be too late for many. Earth will go on just fine without your dang "management". Let us hope they don't actually get rounded up onto trucks with their eyes gouged out bound for Ch*na for food like many of the wild mustangs of the "Wild West" have been. It's true look it up.
@frankwolf3860

This is horrible! NPS may not want "wild horses" on the land, but they are a component of the West's wildlands' animal community. If our government can easily supply billions of dollars and thousands of tons of bombs to foreign governments our government also should supply ample drinking water wells and ponds for the wildlife living within these lands (not just horses, but for all the animals calling these areas "home." It's shameful that the vast majority of politicians controlling what's left of America's wildlife have never even seen wild horses, or sheep, or deer, or bear, or elk, or any of several hundred other native mammal, bird, or reptiles living there...

And now I know why all the major northeastern thoroughfares are under construction at the same time. DEI and Incompetence working hard to make life harder and spend more money and time on projects because they have to accommodate drivers. Lots of pointers and stand around employees to waist Durango tax money. I'm watching them from my balcony as they shout profanities at each other over here at 32nd St. and East Animas Village Dr.
