Glen Lorne used to be mad beautiful. It was the Sandton of Harare with well kempt lawns and greenery. Roads were pristine and you didn't have vendors at every blink of the eye. Let those blacks from the rurals in and boom... there goes the neighbourhood! This i why every nice place ultimately turns into a rural village clone. Why there is always a proliferation of random vegetable stalls, loitering and littering. Back in the 70's smarter people ran campaigns on TV to educate the incoming rural bumpkins about decorum, littering, electrical wires and their dangers, how to cross the road etc. Don't believe me? Ask you parents! It is truly sad what ZANU PF has done to this beautiful country.

I miss a long road trip. Harare is sickening. Sometimes a road trip will take away the pain. It's the forests for me. Sometime away from the concrete jungle and the city noise is therapeutic.
