Hi Mate, About to do my first open hood custom as well and I'm wondering how to close the car again properly since removing the hood also means you're removing the part where the Front screw normally goes in. I don't want the front to be loose so how do you do it? Would appreciate if you could answer that :)

Usually I glue the base to the body, because we only have one screw left.

I thought about attaching a piece of plastic somewhere where its invisible to the body and then drill a hole through the base to be able to screw the front as well to be able to open it again but honestly I have never reopened a single custom so I guess there's no reason not to use a little bit of glue. By the way, do you ever clear coat the interior s? Was thinking about clearcoating the engine too but I'm afraid it will lose too much detail? Thanks for the quick answer.
