Omg!! I’m so late to this video. But Utada!! As an born Asian American. Before I knew what Kpop was, we have Utada! She should of performed these songs as well, like Crying Like a Child and FYI, First Love was perfect! Maybe Comeback To Me, that song was huge

I think she was. Having audio problems at the beginning (not being able to hear herself) because she was SOO flat. Almost a whole step down. Poor thing

Hikki (Utada Hikaru) although is a Japanese artist, inspired so many 1st generation kpop artists. I remember watching 1st gen gg, Baby VOX film a commercial with Hikki’s “Movin On Without You,” playing in the background. And Boa, the iconic soloist of 1st gen kpop learned to sing Hikki’s songs like “First Love” and “Automatic” to improve her Japanese when she was still a trainee. It’s so amazing to have followed Utada Hikaru’s career for so long and to have seen the impact she’s created all around her. She DESERVED to be on the Coachella stage. ❤

I love Utada but she really has evolved over the years and she doesnt sing these song the same. Crucify me. Ive listened for 20 years and covered so many songs. She seems to get thin before large performances and not sing live as well. Remember Passion lives when it was like her vs Ayu back when music was different. This makes me sad.

Is she a professional singer? Every verse is out of tune and I keep feeling uneasy, and I can't feel the strength in her voice. Some people point out that the audience's attitude was rude, but in fact, the audience went there to listen to the song, not to see the face of that old Asian legend that they didn't know well. Some people are saying she should be understanding because she's old, but in fact, if her voice was that bad, she shouldn't have come out from the beginning. It's her fault for not being able to manage her voice normally, unless there's something special going on. At least her live performance that day was rude to the audience.

I never understood why she was so famous in Japan, that vibrato is so bad, I'm guessing it's some kind of sentiment because of certain songs that got famous.

@@jc0 Thank you so much, Joe! I already have an introduction to Okonomiyaki up on my channel, if you're curious. I plan to follow that with a series; each new video will showcase how to make a different style of Okonomiyaki. This weekend, I will upload how to make, "Osaka's Shitamachi," variety. I will likely use footage from your video, when I do my video on how to make Hiroshimayaki. Cheers! =)
