Didn't even give sohby eye contact during the hand shake. Gohar is just a gross person on the court.

All these guys can do really is 'discuss' the future of squash in pakistan and not do anything else. Utterly pathetic. Army's unnecessary intervention with politics has ruined everything really.

How squash should be played. Not running around the court like a lunatic, let the racquet do the hard work.

Why does the non-diving player only get one shot to decide if they want to stop the rally? Shouldn’t the rule be at any point after the dive happens they should be able to call a let if they want? I get that you have to deny the diver the chance to stop or else you incentivise frivolous diving to create a let, but surely one shot for the non-diver is a ridiculously short time at this pro level. What am I missing? How is the non-diving player going to exploit my scenario? The non-diver should be able to stop whenever they want after the dive has occurred (for a let). I’m also against banning diving because I think it’s great for the game 😂

Typically, El Shorbagy is the one in the way! As decisions go, a “let” call is reasonable-but in my preferred interpretation of reality, it’s a stroke. Had “the Puma” not been in his way, El Shorbagy would have been able to return that shot with interest…six ways from Sunday.
@watching99134Ай бұрын
At that level it's virtually impossible to assert that a player would have certainly been able to hit a winning shot in a given situation.

And equally close to a stroke. Let was the correct call as there's room for doubt on both other calls.

Let! He was going for the man and not the ball!
@justreason5868Ай бұрын
That's why it's more of a no-let than a let. However, because of the proximity, he was given a let.
@Orion3TАй бұрын
No, he was on the T and the opponent played a shot which placed himself directly between the ball and Elshorbagy. If it weren't for how tight the shot was shedding some doubt on whether he would have returned it this could easily have been a stroke.

A good length and width lob is really what takes players to a decent level. Very hard to be competitive without it, having it allows you to beat players who are much faster, fitter and more powerful. I would always coach the lob before the drop shot, but after full and dying length drives.
